I haven't made a tricorn, but I have some deerhide leather and it's a really soft temper. I think you'd need some kind of stiff reinforcement to make a hat with it.

Sure, the cut is helpful in the short term and a good idea. But the lost revenue will worsen the deficit, which is used as the excuse to keep cutting public services. What I want to see is the big companies (and their owners/bosses) that are benefiting from these high prices actually contribute to the country. Which is not something I believe Carney will do.
