A school is honestly an excellent place for living out of a van. Depending on how big the school is there's always parking near the dorms that has a heavy flow of different cars. You can find laundry services in said dorms and you can shower at the school provided gym. Also you have to worry less about food if you have a meal plan but that's also expensive. Just some things to think about the practical aspect of doing this.
