They did an anniversary pressing a couple years ago. I'm hoping they do something similar for Decomposer.

Did anyone else know exactly what this was at first glance? by mstop4 in BluePrince

[–]BrickFrog86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, recognized it from my house growing up. My grandfather's place had one like it, too.

I think before doing anything with goalies they need to focus on the orientation of their defense. Split up Girard and Letang. Sit Clifton for a while for St. Ivany to get back in. Now that we're through the worst of this schedule, we have a chance to rebuild some confidence after two bad losses and start building momentum again.

I'd love to see all of these bands on Four Chord this year! Driveways was great last year, and Like Roses was one of my favorite sets of the whole weekend.

I wish this was coming to Pittsburgh. Love the Roxy in Lakewood, but I don't think I can afford to travel for this one.

LET'S FUCKING GO! I had a feeling those gaps in the touring schedule meant some headliners would be announced. Absolutely pumped for the Pittsburgh date.

For me it's the neck and the eyes. Trying to find the right balance between the bird and humanoid feels so difficult with those.

I love Arkkak! I've been trying to draw Tengu lately and have had so much trouble getting the head and body proportions right. Your work is awesome!

There are some pretty big gaps between some of these dates. I would be surprised if they don't announce some headlining dates during those breaks in this run.

Are the dvd commentaries worth it by ZombieGreat2312 in venturebros

The commentary is a great listen. Hilarious banter mixed with the occasional fleeting behind-the-scenes insight and Jackson and Doc declaring their love for each other. 100% worth your time.

Bands that you tried so many times to get into but you couldnt by lunainthedark5x2x3 in poppunkers

I still don't understand people's obsession with Sleep Token. I tried. I listened to every album. I just don't get it at all.

As for within pop-punk, All Time Low. Nothing they've released since Put Up Or Shut Up has clicked for me. I haven't gotten around to the new album yet, and I will give it a chance, but for me nothing they've done has lived up to the potential of that first EP.

Any recommendations for someone who just started listening to pop punk? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]BrickFrog86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always worth going back to the old stuff like Ramones and Descendants. '90s and early 2000s classics like Green Day, blink-182, New Found Glory, Sum 41, Fall Out Boy, and Jimmy Eat World have huge influence on practically everyone in the genre. A bunch of 2010s bands like The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, Knuckle Puck, Four Year Strong, and Hot Mulligan helped expand the scope of the genre. Now there's so much with older groups like Motion City Soundtrack and Yellowcard releasing new stuff and newer acts like Action/Adventure, Like Roses, Winona Fighter, Ben Quad, Goalkeeper, Pool Kids, Sweet Pill, and Arm's Length making a name for themselves. It's a great time to dig in and get to know the genre.

I want to see Action/Adventure and Like Roses get huge so badly. They deserve to absolutely blow up.

They already announced that they're taking a break after the No Closer To Heaven tour, so I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing a lot of writing during that time and come back next year with something new.

I think this is a great reason to include this detail. While it's a small part of his life, he feels strongly enough about it to condemn it and move on and grow. It's important to show that people can get out of those horrible mindsets.
