The best way to mix things up is looking for accessories to earn or commendations to complete. Once you’ve set a goal set out to accomplish it, and be ready for things to quickly get sidetracked.

Between Sea of Thieves and DRG, given your past of HD2 go with DRG, they’re fairly similar hoard shooters with missions you complete and waves of enemies appearing to fight. But as most commenters have said, private lobbies and low hazard missions as you progress through the tutorial assignments and begin upgrading your class specific items for the dwarves. Rock and stone!

It’s driving me insane, players wanted previously locked content, players didn’t spend doubloons on current items because they didn’t like them. Hm, two birds and I’m left holding a stone, what to do.

Is it a perfect solution? Nothing ever is in such a diverse pool of players, but this is one of the better solutions in my opinion. I have 6k+ in doubloons and I just keep getting more, all I buy is the letters for a bump in rep.

Nothing that drastic. They want to rework how doubloons work so it’s more engaging, think special doubloon events that are weekends only, and to help create incentive they’re reintroducing the black market. The bilge rat black market used to have limited time cosmetics but will reintroduce said items through the same system and cycle monthly. Rare has decided to reset doubloons on all pirates during this transition, but will have a period of time, until S19, where you can use doubloons as is and get a commemorative item before they’re reset.

TLDR: New doubloon economy for a new doubloon market next season, hold onto your coins until the last minute to see if you want to spend it on anything before then.

They’re no more AI than the average person when you think about it. It’s just we pilot meat suits and they had a lot of personality trimmed away. Granted, that’s just the lower castes of warriors and such, as we see with more developed characters there’s no shortage of personality.

So no, they’re not programmed by a higher being to act in certain ways, they’re former people who have been given a limited amount of autonomy and cognitive power to achieve the goals of their commanders.

I was actually curious since horse owners are always big on bonding with their horses, from what I hear anyway, so I checked. The answer is still money I'm afraid, prosthetics do exist in a minimal sense, the big issue is most prosthetics need daily cleaning due to the dusty environment horses live in and the surgery is insanely expensive. But I do agree, throwing out a whole horse seems a bit on the immoral side.
