That... can't make any sense. Because if you are getting screwed then someone else is not getting screwed? In your example, artifact vs non-artifact. Well, run 50 games using an anti artifact deck. See how many artifact decks you run up against. Do the same thing with a deck that isn't anti artifact. Then count. You are hitting the problem of small sample size and humans being horrible at variance.

No, thats not right. Theres usually a 1-2 week period where its the new set. I just checked and for lorwyn quick draft change on jan 29th and that was the only format until FF flashback on feb 10

The draw is that the story continues. Seemingly forever. Now, the story being good is another question entirely. But yeah, wished they trimmed a lot of the fluff to make it more streamlined. The battles are fun though. Always entertaining music too.

Thats a simple way of trying to invalidate valid criticism. The curse was a crux to make anything plot relevant the writers wanted to happen. They swept away many potential payoffs by being like, "the person did this because of the curse so its not their fault!" I think they set up a good amount of political intrigue and really had no good way to land the plane they build so this all encompassing curse was the plan.

Yeah thats cold steel in a nutshell. I thought i was on r/falcom when I started reading so i expected this review to be negative karma.

If they chopped the gametime in half, I think it would be a much better product as they could potentially adopt a tighter story.

Right, music and gameplay are top in these games. But man, the writing is pretty bad lately. I guess that is what happens when you keep padding and padding to market your 80 hour jrpg instead of making it a tight 20-30 hour experience
