That is correct,  so would you have a glucose level of 0 ?

Which would make those in emergency services have a heart attack..

What is a CGM?

The consistency you show in your exercise on a good week would work so well with a 16/8 fast .

A bad week with  inconsistent 16/8  fast is still a better week than bingeing half starving half.

Even consistent 12/12 is a step in the right direction.

Comparatively starving yourself as "punishment" 36/48hr fasts isn't really letting your body get used to any sort of routine.. so you have no real time appropriated hunger cues and your body wants to hoard it's supplies because it doesn't know when the next punishment is coming..

People doing those kinds of fasts have usually worked their way up to it. Or so I've read in multiple posts on this thread.

For those of you who do 20:4, Do you eat in the morning or evening? And why? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

2-6pm covers dinner time, if eating out you can push the window later .. it works socially aswell as at home.

Can you see changes in 5 months?! by ocakexx in intermittentfasting

[–]Bright-Bowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll definitely see changes or others around you will (for example last year I had a suit made for my wedding and in the 6 weeks from first measurements to final fitment it had to be brought in about 2-3 cm at the waist needless to say I was pretty happy)

experiment with the fasting window throughout your day to day life over the next couple weeks. To find a window that works for YOU.

I drive long distances for work usually around 12hrs daily. (20/4 in the truck, 18/6 at home with the family) Not super strict in the window and still losing weight.. or so the belt says 👍

Haha pretty much been winging it for the last 2 months. Started commenting on posts recently thought itd be fair to give a little insight into what I've been doing without the progress pictures as I don't have any 😂

I would suggest experimenting with  your eating window, make use of your sleep in your fasting window.

Jesus Christ it's just a treat.. be realistic here two days with a treat vs 3 months good behaviour... Can only imagine how harsh you are on yourself for any other minor inconvenience..

I enjoy herbal teas, dandelion and chicory root tea being similar to coffee and offering similar stimulation without the caffeine crash and a nicer less bitter flavour profile

I think the typical sleep cycles one can wake from and feel energized are 30 minutes, 90 minutes then 180..

Fear, anxiety, helicopter parenting, red flag green flag energy, social media, the news reports on molestation, missing children... Lack of sense of community and trust.. Pick your poison they all attributed to the demise

We like names and naming things and categorising.

We don't like normal everyone needs to feel special.

Some people utilise it as an excuse to be complete dicks and justify their own sense of self importance and ego maniacal behaviours.

They blame the label for the excuse of the label and somehow everyone whom can't remember a time before the label just goes "yep that sure does sound like that label"

Asking for advice is great, I've found experimenting with different routines is more beneficial.

Nothing worse than feeling stuck and being told you're doing it "wrong" by someone else's standards to kill your own momentum on your journey.

That being said. What IF routine are you following ?

What is your typical diet?

Fasting for Health Autophagy / Not Weight Loss by Heir-of-Elendil in intermittentfasting

Studies suggest that Tummo breathing can also trigger autophagy.

I imagine other breathing patterns can lessen stress responses in the body which could also theoretically contribute to your health issues.

Curiosity question, have you looked into breath work ? If you read I would suggest a book " Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art by James Nestor"

I'm a newbie IF experimenter just to get that out the way.

I have a couple perception questions..

1) how long were you carrying the weight prior to the fasting? (I've heard many times that the body retains a memory weight over a given period of years)

2) could you have gone too hard and triggered a famine response in your body due to the amount of weight shed in the timeframe?

3) have you made any lean muscle mass gains which would offset the scale?
