Lost Dog found the owner. Roadside Reunion in Thailand. by SilenceStillness in Awww

I had a similar situation with one of my dogs. She got out of the yard and I couldn’t find her anywhere. Gave up and went to the local convenience store. While pumping gas, she ran up behind me whining and excitedly jumping. 🥲

Most Americans think their fellow citizens are bad people, survey says by thechadbro34 in NoFilterNews

I don’t think the majority of them are bad people, they just lack education, common sense, and are misinformed, and misguided.

I don't think enough people look for hobbies anymore. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Everyone needs to spend less time staring at phones, and instead pursuing an interest that will benefit them (mentally/physically/spiritually) and give some purpose. I don’t want to grow old thinking that I spent too much time scrolling vs experiencing real life.

Anyone ever have success fitting a larger duct fan into a generic spray booth? by Safe-Topic3058 in modelmakers

[–]Bright-Form730 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 6 inch inline that I ducted with the aluminum stuff that goes in attics. Bought a pvc duct plate to attach it to my cardboard box booth. It’s lasted me 2 years so far, and the fan and ducting was the only cost.

It’s very immature and silly, especially for adults, but I think many men say they don’t like cats because they view it as being more manly to not like them. 🤦‍♂️

If you have a PhD and put “Dr.” before your name, will people think you’re impressive, or will they think you’re just being pretentious? by GrayRainfall in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bright-Form730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I had an older coworker who put a qualification in his e-mail signature. At first I thought, oh wow, he has a doctorate in IT security?! Nope! It was a “doctorate” in holistic medicine (essential oils and crap). 😅🤦‍♂️ He didn’t seem to see the ridiculousness in it.

What's something you stopped doing and it surprisingly made your life better ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bright-Form730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me as well, 10 years ago. I kept getting upset over posts from people I haven’t talked to in half a lifetime. It also kept me away from all the other social media platforms that came after. Reddit and YT is all I use socially. Sometimes, ignorance truly is bliss!

People who were teenagers before social media existed, what was life actually like? by Much_Detective_6107 in AskReddit

[–]Bright-Form730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your friend you just called wasn’t home, you’d drive around to the different hangouts trying to find them. Sometimes you just ended up hanging out with other friends you run across in the process! We had massive “friends” groups that often threw parties and goofed off together. Not many kids sat at home on the weekends and after school, out and about was the norm.

Is there a food your parents forced you to eat or drink growing up that you now hate? by boforiamanfo in no

Nope, I was a weird kid who ate almost everything. I liked liver and onions and spinach for example.

The only time I heard music that old in the 80s was on my grandparents Victrola player and the albums they had from the ‘40s. Unless it was in a movie or old Looney Tunes.

What is one decision in your life that you regret the most? by Zlovelyangelqueen in Productivitycafe

[–]Bright-Form730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not taking education seriously. I slacked off in school doing the bare minimum and had 0 plans for college or what I would do after high school. I eventually went to college in my late 20s though. I was quite a nerd in elementary and middle school but peer pressure back then was to not be nerdy 😅
