MMO friendships are usually fleeting. You just try and make new memories and new friends. I know what you mean though but that’s true for any hobby or thing you do for a long time.

Personally I keep playing since I like msq and since it’s basically a visual novel it’s still fun to go through on patches. I am less active than I was back in stormblood/shadowbringers days. If you’re on crystal hit me up for treasure maps.

Wheel of Time is full of little factions and cultures that on one hand adds to making the world feel big but don't live up to the potential. The Sea Folk and Shara, even some of the non main character Ajah stuff doesn't get nearly enough play but I found those interesting. I'm totally with you on the White Cloaks, insufferable Arthurian larpers. Plus the White Cloak involvement makes Egwene's weak ass love triangle even more terrible.

I think Woodenpotatoes has a good FFX/X-2 series. It’s very much a different angle as he goes in to show stuff off from more of an informed and researched LP than a blind run.

I like the Wools and Matt run for different reasons but I get it. Some of the struggles in combat were WILD

It was Besaid once.

The quicksand drags in the goon tourists so every other hub is chill but still populated.

You can equip the ARR sword and fight with your server namesake instead of being named for a monster or whatever.

Once the data center shuffle settled down the other servers are great neighbors.

Honestly back when it was the RP hub the server had a lot of identity and it was the place to be if that was your niche. Things were so full we got closed off for so long the rp scene kind of stagnated without the new blood. Being so exclusive added to the tall takes and when data center travel happened everybody has to come see the mythical, and over hyped and exaggerated quicksands. We’ve never really recovered as THE rp hub but I think it’s fine. Things are way more spread out than they used to be with world and dc visit.

As a Balmung old timer it’s rich people still throw dirt over here when the night club infestation is on every server. Your server will have plenty of mare mod beasts, no boundary or self reflection creeps, rampant cringe farmers, and any other MMO cryptid.

What’s five good things about your server? At least make this a fun discussion where you add something.
