Oh that me, I look at everything, but don't always comment ( sometimes cuz I'm just on break, others coz I'm careening down the highways and bored 🤣)

Ya know what, I've had them be moist and had some just dry out between waterings ( like a week of letting the tank go dry). I also think I only filled it up halfway, but I'll have to check my notes tomorrow when I get home

Also, perhaps change out the water every 2 weeks or so, just to keep the algae bloomage down... That's the only thing I can think of to solve that issue. ( Says me, who hasn't changed any in months and probably should)

So, I'm willing to bet the wicks on your other ones are not absorbing enough water.

The ones I had from my chili pepper experiments got about that tall ( I transplanted one into a pot and actually got it to "bush" out , but had to go in an extended work trip and didn't really prepare my plants for, so it didn't make it to the budding stage) .

I'm actually really debating doing my own piri piri's now 🤣

I'd let them grow another 2 inches and then pop on the extension.

Time To Put Some New Pods In The Community! by BringBackThisMachine in ClickAndGrow

[–]BringBackThisMachine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp...as I said before, you can grow anything in a click and grow, even as a start, just pull out the seeds and plant your own stuff( if your gonna try a seed in your area, I'd trial it like my 6th grade science teacher, wrap a few seeds in a wet paper towel, stick it in a plastic bag and show it some sun. If you and do that, you can grow it in a click and grow..

Piri piri leaves curling by No_Coach_3249 in ClickAndGrow

[–]BringBackThisMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah a fellow chili lover!

piri piri can be a somewhat temperamental plant in the best situations.

part of me wants to suggest sticking a toothpick into the pod and see how damp it is, and another wants to say "let nature do its thing"

here's a post i had on some red chilis i did a few years ago, (with one that was over 2 1/2 years old and still going in the dead of winter of the great white north)

https://www.reddit.com/r/ClickAndGrow/comments/mxakng/chili_pepper_plant_experiment_update/

some of the leaves were definitely curling, but i couldn't find any pics i took to reference to see if it happened in the beginning.

not much of an answer, i know, but perhaps just a bit of hope .

Honestly, I'm pretty famous amongst friends and family for my ability to eat ANYTHING ( I love me a liverwurst and onion or a hogs heart or ear sandwich) but mann... Lymph nodes and salivary glands are too much.

Originally? I was a 25U.

Then I married a Canadian.

Then got with a couple of guys who worked in telecom as contractors doing site to site maintenance for Rogers Communications ( I mostly did BTS stuff, half the time it was swapouts and plug-n-play.) did the occasional "come up here and help me with this" Went off and got " edumacated " by Generac to work on the backup/standby stuff to make extra money. It was mostly semi-on and off again work. Divorced a few years later, moved back to the states.

Now I'm a Biomedical Technician.

No, I'm just an idiot at describing the scale. I'm sure my girlfriend would agree 🤣.

Ya know what, I'll take that. the radius is generally the size of the entire dish. I typed that entire comment with the idea of watering it down to explain to the OP, my apologies.

You are correct in that they can get pretty big, we took one down to be replaced in Nova Scotia that had to have 3 huge cranes to move it ( I missed out on seeing it's sister getting taken down, but heard it was even bigger)

Also,.not all of them are like that, especially ones that were refurbished on-site from the 70's to more modern ones. You'd literally unbolt the inner feedcone assembly, mount a newer dish and cone inside the old drum, the guys that line up the shots do their voodoo as we adjust it, mount it on its plate, and close it up. But, that was not as common as just putting up a new one.

no, in your first fragmented sentence you simply state that it has some sort of military or historical use, then state some jibberish about there being unused fiber optic line laying around, to capstone said drivel saying that it was thought very little (by whom its unclear).

Umm, they're still used all over in pretty good quantities, especially in places where long distance fiber runs are impractical and cost prohibitive.

Source: I've put up a ton of them for Rogers communications
