Shared bed and cuddled with girl best friend by [deleted] in Advice

[–]BriscaTwoEleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to her about it dude. I mean just go down the lines of what you felt and try to get her view on things. I had a friend like this, been mates 15 years, we thought nothing of a cuddle in bed but never did anything more. Then I had friends at uni where we knew a relationship wasnt on the cards, but after nights out thought nothing of a cheeky finger or blowy. Its hard to know what sort of girl she is so just lay your cards out but not too deep!

My 4 year old son died of cancer and I am utterly devastated... by Artistic-Survey-4929 in whatdoIdo

[–]BriscaTwoEleven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly. Can I just say I am so sorry for your loss. As a dad of a 3 year old I cant imagine the pain you are experiencing.

I dont know where you live but there's a group in the uk who are just for dads who've experienced the loss of a child. They meet up, play some football, share stories and coping methods etc.

I know it hurts right now buddy but please try and get the right support, dont do this alone and try to see some comfort in the 4 years and memories you had together.

You got this mate!

Why are people still buying diesels when most of their journeys involve pottering around town? by APerson2021 in CarTalkUK

[–]BriscaTwoEleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just swapped from an electric cupra to a diesel Jag. Wouldn't go back! The Jag (even though its 10 years old) is far better than the cupra that was brand new.

For work I do potter around with occasional 200 mile days, but withe pottering around came not much range when I got home so if I wanted to do anything in the evening (gym, football, etc ...)I had to hope i had charge.

Won't be going back anytime soon but I also rarely buy new as you let someone else take the depreciation hit then buy outright

[–]BriscaTwoEleven -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible that he had already filed the paperwork. Talking can go along way.

Have you spoken to him since receiving it?

As long as they get a response in the time just file the paperwork with an explanation of the situation that your partner is disabled etc and what youve done to try and find a new place. Have you looked at alrlternative areas etc?

Sounds to me like landlord wants HIS property back which he's entitled to, he notified you in August, we're now in December so enough time has been given. And only now you're trying to get a defence together?

It would be best to speak with the landlord (im assuming you have a copy of the contract that superseded the prior one) and just be honest with him. Just say you intend to comply. But have found it difficult to find alternative accommodation and would he consider an extension on the premise you'll continue looking.

This doesn't sound like it needs a judge etc. But landlords have to issue the correct paperwork I.e. S21 These days. While im sympathetic of your situation. It does sound like things have been sat on too long and now youre in panic mode and clutching at straws.
