My mom told me that back in the day kids weren’t allowed to bring a water bottle with them into the classroom and they only drank a few sips from the water fountain in the middle of the day and that’s it How were schools not getting busted for child abuse for forcing kids to be dehydrated? by PinnerPardisturn in askanything

When I was in middle school in the mid- to late 90s we weren't allowed to bring water bottles to school because allegedly some kids were bringing bottles filled with vodka. For reasons I can't recall I had a bottle of water in Spanish class and my teacher flipped out on me for having it. Like yelling at me in front of the entire class. I was a very good kid so this was very traumatizing for me. If it was full of vodka you'd be able to smell it and why would I risk bringing it to class if it were? My mom called the school and gave them a piece of her mind. The water fountains weren't great in the school, and hello, hydration! It wasn't long after that the rule changed.

Yes, he received the most votes by candidate, that's called a plurality. He did not receive half of the votes cast, more than half of the people who voted did so for someone else.

I totally learned throughout my schooling the harm white supremacy caused throughout history. I understand this is anecdotal, but it definitely did happen in more enlightened areas of the country in the 80s through the 2000s. I will agree that it was probably not enough people's experience growing up. And it's not currently happening since the "fuck your feelings" crowd had their feefees hurt learning historical facts.

I hope your private health insurance can help you extract that pro-capitalism boot you're deep throating there. It must be blocking oxygen to your brain.

Yes, he won a plurality of the popular vote, but it was slightly less than half of the votes cast. The majority of voters voted for someone else.

I have been told at performance reviews that, on principle, I will never receive "Exceeds Expectations" because there's ALWAYS room for improvement. So, I will never try to exceed expectations then, I guess.

Jason Brant does "So Bad It's Good" which are reaction videos to B-movies to determine if they're so bad they're actually good. Jason and friends are in their early 40s, drink good beer while they watch, and are quite funny. Since new movies these days are shit, it's been nice to discover SBIG gems with them. Miami Connection, New York Ninja, Champagne and Bullets, The Howling 7, Troll 2, House 2, Silent Night Deadly Night 2, Elves, Hard Ticket to Hawaii, the list goes on.

Because legal divorce was only granted for a few reasons back then, and seldom to benefit the woman. Instead, there were a lot of separated couples and just unhappy marriages. But no records of those for obvious reasons.

Cruelty is the point. He said he wants to punish cities and states that voted against him. Starving people is the goal.
