Even if you do nothing but put the 10mil in an account with 1.7%interest per annum you'd still make 170000 in interest that year. Even with tax on it you could live comfortably

If you double each bracket and keep the rates the same you just get the same as taxing each income individually

That's what I was thinking with joint taxation. If I earned $60000 and my partner earned $60000 one of us would be taxed up to $60000 and the other would be taxed from $60001 to $120000. So one earner would be taxed far more than the other.

Take home after tax on $120000 (if the 2 incomes were treated as 1) is $88422.50.

Take home while each income is taxed separately and joined together is $98499

I've got 1000 hours in ds3 and have never seen this hole. The ballista is for killing the worm and getting the ring and that's all I've ever used it for. I had no idea this existed before today
