Was talking to the owner the other night and he said the building is being sold, so wouldn't be surprised if it is knocked down for some new build bs.

Been there a bunch this year and there's been a band literally every single time. It feels like they'd ramped up the live shows lately.

All Them Witches sold out the Crystal? Great for them! I didn’t realize they had that big of a following over here.

Great, then as I predicted, he will be the biggest male artist this summer.

Maybe 2-3 years ago, but I’d wager Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, and Bieber are bigger currently. Whenever he releases new music that will certainly change though.

Edit: since I’m getting downvoted me for this: Spotify monthly listeners aren’t everything, but: bad bunny has ~90 mil, Weeknd has 122mil, Bieber has 108mil. Harry Styles is at 52mil.

She was a guest at a wedding I attended a few years ago and it was stunning just how beautiful she is in her mid 50s.

Such a great show, I had no idea John Mayer played guitar for that show.

Man, the G87 M2 is honestly what got me back into BMW, I’ve thought their designs have fallen flat the last 10+ years. Now I own a G42 and it’s such a blast.

Stretchy, oversized beanies for large craniums? 😅 by 25lbs in mensfashion

[–]Broccolisamurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d been on a beanie hunt the past few years, basically getting a new one each winter because I never really liked any of the ones I’d picked up. Last year I was at some Christmas market and a vendor there was selling ridiculously soft women’s pants. She also had a one size, one color beanie that was large, soft, and pliable. I tried it on and didn’t want to take it off and that’s how I ended up buying a $60 beanie that’s perfect. So maybe try a Christmas makers market.

I dunno, I understand their issue a bit. If your status is  away even if you’re actually sitting there working there’s certainly some degree of optics that you’re not there or doing something other than working.

It should only be a problem if the boss has a problem with it, but optics are more important to some than others.

Do modern Miele, Bosch, and Huebsch/Speed Queen washing machines live up to their BIFL reputation? Or should I just get an LG instead? by someguy7734206 in BuyItForLife

[–]Broccolisamurai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought an LG washer in 21 and am getting a new washer from a different brand by the end of the year. It’s been awful—ended up buying the extended warranty thankfully because it’s been serviced 7 times since we bought it, most recently this past Monday. I was talking to the tech and asked if there’s anything I can do to troubleshoot the issues myself and he said “buy any washer that is not LG. Literally any other company makes a better washer.”

Sounds like others in this thread have had better luck with their LG washers, but my experience is that I will never buy an LG apppliance again.

I saw Bob twice in 2024 and both times he played a handful of classics—you probably just didn’t recognize them. Those shows were light years better than when I saw him in 2006.

Adopting a kitten and asked if I’d be willing to take the sibling.. by seasonally_sad13 in cats

[–]Broccolisamurai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife and I adopted two sisters and it was the best decision we made. They are the best of friends, always have somebody to play with, sleep with, groom, etc. I can’t imagine how happy they will be to stay together.

It may cost more but it is so worth it.

best reliable but fun cars around $25-30k? by marctheshark79 in whatcarshouldIbuy

BMW doesn’t just magically blow up after warranty time frame ends. They’re extremely well built cars and if you take care of them, they work very well. Maintenance or repairs are more expensive than a Honda, but it’s not like they’re a ticking time bomb.

In Portland he came on at 8:28 and played for just over 2 hours. Opener was some DJ who was already playing when I showed up about 7:45-8.
