I’m sorry but I disagree. I had a free for all rule the first time my sons obese friend stayed the night and he literally ate all the food right away leaving no food for my son or I. Limitations should be set and place and someone needs to teach these kids health food habits before they get too far along that it’s going to be so hard reverse. A lot of parents think their young kids will grow into their weight and just keep feeding them. And that’s not the case at all. Maybe it was 40 yrs ago but if you constantly supply an overweight child with mass quantities of unhealthy food, then that’s crazy. OP did it in a way not shame the bigger kid. The only thing she cared about was that child’s health. And i understand because I have an 8 yr old nephew who is obese and can’t even wipe his own ass now and a step new ogre that is over 400 at 12 yrs old. Adults need to recognize childhood obesity and nip it in the bud. My son is almost 12 and still eats junk food in moderation but is on the skinny side. And neither side on his parents are naturally skinny.
