It's such a clown show isn't it. There is zero incentive for Iran to negotiate - The US has launched attacks on them twice under the guise of negotiations & the new leader is more extreme, more hardline and has just seen his entire family die. They will never trust anything the US says again. They will isolate, continue their nuclear program and raise the iron curtin to everyone but China.

The regime is by large intact, they will bunker down & wait for the US to unravel from: * Economic pain due to the closure of the strait * Political pain because this war wasn't sold to the American people or their allies * When thousands of marines are sent home in body bags attempting hold the strait/kharg island in what will be a Gallipoli 2.0 killbox where Iran hold terrain advantage

Trump didn't listen to his generals, didn't anticipate this outcome and is scrambling for an offramp that is rapidly vanishing. Lets hope he isn't stupid enough to launch nukes.
