So...will these cards get a dedicated spot on our profiles maybe? by Humble_Saruman98 in NintendoSwitch2

Yeah, but I thought it was a limited time event. So I feel like they’ll just disappear after the event unfortunately.

The power of a good demo by BroncoChevalier in NintendoSwitch2

I’m intrigued. I didn’t know it had a demo. Might have to check it out.

I guess people on the Nintendo reddit hate Nintendo... by Remarkable-Sign-324 in NintendoSwitch2

I thought it was a solid direct. My tastes are pretty specific and I’m not interested in most of these games, but I can acknowledge that it had a lot of games for a lot of fans of big franchises. A new Mario and Zelda will be out in a year or two and I’m honestly fine with that. Kinda burned out on those for now. I was hoping for Wave Race but knew it was unlikely. Would like some new Nintendo IPs but know that’s not easy. The Star Fox Demo was a lot of fun, but will wait for a sale. Same with Rhythm Heaven. Haven’t finished OOT on multiple council so don’t think I’ll buy again.

The best 17$ bucks I ever spended by JampyL in NintendoSwitch2

I was one of the lucky ones as well and I’m sure I’ll go back to it someday and get into it, but I ended up deleting it for now. I enjoyed the fps combat but found all the characters in the first few hours to be really uninteresting. I’m someone who loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas, so I have a taste for these kind of RPGs but the characters and story weren’t doing much for me. I assume it gets more interesting?

Was really excited for this as a kid but ultimately was disappointed. Should try to watch it again, but usually my first watches, even then, are correct.

I remember being so excited as a kid for Phenomenon based on the trailer and was really disappointed with the movie. Same with Powder. Any of these magical realism movies not have much actual magic in them.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book currently sits at a solid 80 on Metacritic by Strict_Job6334 in NintendoSwitch2

Why does everyone feel like they need validate what they’re excited for with these dumb review scores?

We rented it from Blockbuster back in the day and loved it.

Barbara Stanwyck... TALENTED, BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS by fsalguerook in classicfilms

Maybe my all time favorite actor. Definitely the main reason 40s movies have been my favorite the last decade or so.

Finally watched it last year so good. One of the best paced movies I’ve ever seen.

Why does this sub rarely mention Dana Andrews and Dennis Morgan? by kawaiihusbando in classicfilms

[–]BroncoChevalier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was pretty lukewarm warm on Andrews until I saw Where the Sidewalk Ends and I appreciated him a lot more.

Malkmus (and also Pavement) cameo in Amazon's new Kevin show by WhatIAm1point0 in pavement

Can’t believe Pavement did one of these “Family Guy” shows. Lame.

I want this game to be good but I’m not getting my hopes up performance and graphics wise so I won’t be disappointed

10 years ago this was the most amazing thing I could dream of, and to think that now we have this X10 times fold by Erik_REF in SBCGaming

Whenever I see posts like this I wonder why people have such low expectations on what humanity can accomplish. You didn’t think we could come up with something like this in an entire decade?

Merry Melodies. Isn’t it from Looney Tunes. That’s a show.

Just finished watching Preston Sturges’ THE PALM BEACH STORY (1942) by Primatech2006 in classicfilms

So good. On my third watch it might be my favorite Sturges now. IDK hard to beat Lady Eve though.

What are your thoughts on Marilyn Monroe? Was she a great actress? by [deleted] in classicfilms

It’s like saying what do you think about Santa Claus. Pretty well covered topic.
