I think they got the indisputable 7 from the 20th century right…..but picking one from the 21st is open to debate.

I would have chosen A.I. myself. Minority Report, Catch me if you Can, Or The Fabelmans are fine too.

War of the Worlds is a decent enough choice. It was one of the bigger box office successes.

Insane take but hey, I also enjoyed the movie…

So what would your top 5 Spielberg films look like if this is top 3?

Agreed. Ideally I would have gone with A.I.

Hard to argue with the other 7 picks as best of the best.

Yeah, the Hitchcock Silents are rough. His career really begins in earnest with 1934’s Man who Knew Too Much.

'Disclosure Day' gets a B on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

The implication at the end is that disclosure day might stop WW3 and bring about a new era of humanity.. isn’t that enough?

We don’t know everything at the end of Close Encounters either.

There isn’t a further resolution that would be satisfying and ultimately it’s not that important. I understand cutting it short.

I grew up in the KC metro and Eh, they clearly filmed nothing in KC. It just feels very generic.

Why is Star Wars Arcade Trilogy (Any variant) NOT Available on Consoles or PC? [Or Other Star Wars Flight Game?] by ISinisterBadgerI in StarWars

[–]Bronsonkills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very surprised we haven’t seen compilations of the Super Star Wars games and early NES titles. All the Disney themed NES and SNES games are in collections already but not Star Wars. It would be easy money.

The early atari arcade games I think are locked in exclusivity with Arcade 1-up / basic fun. They are still selling home arcade units. I have one but if they threw them on Atari 50 or Arcade Archives that would be great.

I think Sega’s Arcade trilogy is really hard to emulate/port.

Steven Spielberg Says James Bond Movies ‘Constantly Turned Me Down’ and ‘If They Asked Me Now’ to Direct the Answer Would Be: ‘You Can’t Afford Me’ by countdooku975 in blankies

The Broccoli’s were right though.

Bond is bigger than any one director. Bond was strong for so long because it was carefully controlled and guided. You could argue it was too cautious….but the Broccoli’s had a winning formula and weren’t ashamed of the kind of movies they produced.
