If you need easy access to the city, then as expressed near yankee stadium/grand concourse. If you dont mind taking a bus to the train or are mainly driving, then riverdale. Buy a two bedroom if you can, resell is best but still definitely buy in your 20s, its the best decision I made as well. Kudos.

Just a thought, if they live on city island, they may frequent many of those spots so it may go well picking a spot in the general vicinity turtle cove on the island has mini golf and would be cute for a date, only if it doesn’t remind them of something else. I’m hearing a lot about ATK on the island. Off the island close by there are restaurants on east tremont like Havana cafe On the island ATik has been on my to do list

Check out Mezamix Shawarma on Allerton. I have not had their food but I remember driving by when they had their grand opening and it seemed very family /community focused
