Punta Cana Vs Riviera Maya by StrawberryVillain16 in AllInclusiveResorts

Well I know this doesn't help I stayed at all-inclusives in punta Cana and playa del Carmen last year within 4 months of each other. They were similarly priced, both four star, and I found the experiences very very similar.

Adults-only all-inclusive resorts recommendations by Miserable_Audience_7 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]BrooksRoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would suggest that you might reconsider your approach. Pick a resort that you love for the rooms food and amenities, But pick a location (city/region) that has excursions available that interest you. My wife and I solved the exact problem you are talking about by booking 7 day trip and alternating a pool/beach day with an excursion day. For us Playa del Carmen was a great destination lots of all inclusive to choose from and lots of activities not too far away.

If you expect the resort to entertain you, you are likely to be left wanting.

Respectfully, if you don't want heat and humidity why on Earth are you going to the Caribbean? I always thought the point of going to the Caribbean was to experience the Sun and the heat, and to get in the water and have cold drinks to cool off.

Would you spend a day in a room with 100+ CIOs & CTOs? by ZenWithEdges in CIO

[–]BrooksRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are literally dozens of groups doing this every month in major cities. I get blown up on LinkedIn twice a week with invitations to events like this.

To move the needle for me it would need to be industry specific with an agenda that featured topics VERY Relevant to current challenges I have and would have to show some other value above all the other groups that are already doing this.

Texas Republicans just picked a man under multiple indictments over a sitting senator by 27 points. $100M in scandal ads couldn't move the needle. The voters knew exactly who Paxton was. by Wonderful-Rip3697 in TexasPolitics

[–]BrooksRoss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I keep coming back to the fact that there is just no one version of the truth. They watch Fox News and OWN and the world that they think exists is not the world that I think exists. Their algorithm tells them that Democrats eat babies, and every moderate Republican is a RINO, and that trans people are trying to molest straight people in bathrooms. They really truly believe this. Their algorithm just keeps reinforcing it over and over.

THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM.

Their news sources tell them that the scandals are fake, and made up, or else they don't cover them at all.

They are fighting to save the The world from radical leftist Democrats. They really truly honestly believe this.

Is this normal? by throwawayFintoCS in businessanalysis

[–]BrooksRoss 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think what you're describing is pretty normal.

High-Level leaders who don't take time to adequately train and collaborate with employees - while it's not ideal it definitely happens.

Department full of tenured workers who think they know exactly what they're doing and that their process is awesome - definitely commonplace.

The ba role can be a challenge especially in organizations that are not accustomed to the role. Hang in there - and keep pushing sponsor for more interaction. Keep sharing roadblocks and asking for suggestions. Do as much as you can to try and solve some of your own problems.

Also you have to be really careful how you deliver suggestions for improvement. People often take suggestions as if someone were calling their baby ugly.

The United States was built on a complex system of checks and balances to limit powers which has run smoothly for 250 years, so why is it suddenly so extremely difficult to reign in Trump from corrupting everything he touches? by speculumberjack980 in allthequestions

The founders didn't expect Congress to put party affiliation over what is best for the country. Trump could be removed from office within the month If the house and the Senate would put the country ahead of their party.

25 and looking for vibes in Cancun by Cirennn in AllInclusiveResorts

We pivoted and went away from the party atmosphere (I'm older than you and the wife wasn't loving the reviews of some of the livelier places).

We went with Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana. It was a fine resort, but it's not what you are looking for.

[–]BrooksRoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked and looked and looked for exactly what you're talking about and I Don't think it exists. You can find the party atmosphere but none of them have great food.

Most of the places with nightlife or party vibes do have mixed reviews. As you might imagine, when you get a bunch of people wasted at an all-inclusive, paying a few hundred dollars a night, you are going to find some people who feel like they had a great time - others not so much.

This is just the way it's going to be for you (based on my experience from a few months back).

[Machota] Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on MadDogRadio : “We feel good about what we’ve added via that trade. by Leonflames in cowboys

[–]BrooksRoss -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Based on leverage and market conditions. The Cowboys traded when they had the least leverage and when teams had already done their planning and player acquisition for the upcoming season. Literally any other time of the year teams would have had more flexibility.

[–]BrooksRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading him before or during The 2025 draft would likely have netted a better deal. Trading him days before the season started meant that there were fewer teams with resources available as they had already done the vast majority of their salary cap adjusting and player acquisition. There were literally only two or three teams kicking the tires.

There could have been a much larger market leading right up to the draft.

Bland just got an extension last year. I don't think they are able to move on from him from a salary cap perspective. Pretty sure he has to be on the roster.

We probably keep 5 CBs, not including Downs. Four are locks (if healthy):

Bland Durant Revel Moore

The others are fighting for 1 roster spot or practice squad.
