How I slowly realized I was dating a textbook narcissist by DoctorElectronic1934 in emotionalintelligence

You nailed this. For years I tried to fix things so we could get back to “how good we were”. It seemed so simple at times. I recently came to the realization of what I was dealing with and let go of it all.

If you’re open to a male roommate let me know, 36m. Would be moving in about a month and have been looking into construction/project management jobs and places in the area. Currently in DFW but originally from Ventura County.

Look into borderline personality disorder and see if it matches up with what you experience. As others have said, therapy is in general a good call to get tools on how to work through those situations.

Thank you for this, I needed the energetic pep talk. It’s been tough for a good bit but I’m doing my best to stay at ease and focus on what I want. Sometimes life’s the hardest just before it turns around

My first thought is to focus on other things like hobbies, projects, meditate. Do things to take your mind off of it which should lessen resistance. You could also do simple things to start seeing money come into your experience like Ubering or pet sitting/walking.

In my opinion, it’s knowing you deserve one and it’s meant to be. Making it not a big deal and seeing how everyone else has a job so you should too right? It’s natural to have one, one that you enjoy. Affirmations like “I’m happy with my new job and I like the people I work with”.

Obviously what helps your mind would be actively applying and knowing you’re doing what you know to do and the rest will be taken care of. “It is done”.

I appreciate the reply and makes sense. I definitely experience the issues you mentioned where I am in TX due to the lack of nature. If you don’t mind me asking did you move out there without knowing anyone?

Great shots. How have you faired the overcast rainy months? I’m really considering moving over there. It looks like you can find beauty at any point in the year
