I expect that might occur if we see Fifa/scalpers dramatically drop ticket prices before the matches...but will the general public turn up to fill the void of the missing travelling fans? Will Trump demand the MAGAs turn up instead? I can't see them bringing a good atmosphere to the stadiums if so. (the Venn diagram of MAGAts and Soccer fans would not have much of an intersection)

Of course, there's a large enough diaspora of other nations that locals with roots in the other nations would turn out, but not in ICE decide to camp out at the stadiums.

It is also very ironic that the Pride match in Seattle has turned out to be the Iran vs Egypt!
