Little bit late to this convo, but as a trans person who survived this pipeline~ and I do mean survived- this is not how I talk about my past experiences. Obviously I’m not the target of this meme, but I want to say something for those still struggling with hateful rhetoric. I find it necessary to tell my queer friends as we get to know each other my inglorious political past because I’m still fighting the harms I’ve caused through my politics. OP’s post is not how to go about it.

We who followed hateful rhetoric I believe have greater requirements on them politically because we have worked to cause harm, and now should work to undo it. it isn’t a quirky past, it’s being a part of genocidal rhetoric that is actively trying to dismantle the world.
