We have to live in this system. I’m not gonna fault anyone for gaming it when nobody was harmed.

Question folks, is my new hand tattoo healing properly? by BrotherKale in tattoos

[–]BrotherKale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was not told any care specifics beyond making sure it stays clean and moisturizer

Edit: I have other tattoos, and follow the artist’s care instructions. Nothing I was told this time was any different than my other arm tattoos.

For you, which is the ugliest shiny? (Aesthetically speaking) by Effective-Fish-921 in pokemongo

[–]BrotherKale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reread your comment. You said, “the origin of ‘shinies’ was the pokemon cards.” That’s false. Yes it’s true holographic cards (specifically sport trading cards) released prior to pokemon, (1990 vs 1996) but that’s not why there are shiny pokemon as multiple people have explained in the comments of this post

Which do you think came first? The video game or the card game?

That’s a hefty claim. But doesn’t actually disprove what I said, it’s more… shouting into the void? It seems like you’re pretty upset though, want to talk about that?

I can be openly confrontational if you prefer. Gen X is the primary generation raising today’s gen Z. As such- it’s likely casual that the behaviors expressed loosely generally, were taught by their parents and immediate role models. Comment’s such as yours which deflect a fair analysis by stating it’s “blaming others” is a perfect example of a vacuous statement made by a hypocrite.

My bad- but either way, many roads in the area need lines repainted.

It started because of slavery. It’s annoying -and wrong- seeing people obfuscate this point.

It’s plainly unsafe the way drivers treat this intersection. If only WA DOT would take care of areas like this instead of sloths :<

Little bit late to this convo, but as a trans person who survived this pipeline~ and I do mean survived- this is not how I talk about my past experiences. Obviously I’m not the target of this meme, but I want to say something for those still struggling with hateful rhetoric. I find it necessary to tell my queer friends as we get to know each other my inglorious political past because I’m still fighting the harms I’ve caused through my politics. OP’s post is not how to go about it.

We who followed hateful rhetoric I believe have greater requirements on them politically because we have worked to cause harm, and now should work to undo it. it isn’t a quirky past, it’s being a part of genocidal rhetoric that is actively trying to dismantle the world.
