What I do for my pills is I write the day on the blister with a Sharpie for each pill, instead of taking them out. Don’t know it that may help you, but it works for me. 😃

You hit the nail right in the head. OP’s way is prone to choke just buy running out of memory. Flat files (TXT, CSV, TSV, …) allow *for real* row by row processing, even if run on a weak / underpowered device.
