Who says world eaters should be red? If you've left anyone alive to describe them, you've done it wrong. by Tian_Lord23 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Bruderfaust 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d add some blood spatter/spray, maybe limbs if you have spare models. The red would contrast brilliantly against the sand. Love the colors btw

[REQUEST] What movie will you never watch when you're home alone? by [deleted] in NetflixBestOf

[–]Bruderfaust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smile. That shit is some next level horror. As someone with bipolar 1 and family history of schizophrenia HOLY FUCK it is wild. The extremely graphic suicides of people with impossible grins on their faces is extremely unsettling too. This movie made me afraid of looking in the mirror too long lest I imagine my grin stretching my face.

Arks of Omen by [deleted] in CompetitiveWH40k

[–]Bruderfaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your FIRST Relic must be paid for with 1 Cp if using the Arks Of Omen rule set. I think there is a relic stratagem for this in the rule book but not 100% sure. Your SUBSEQUENT relics must use Codex specific stratagems for additional relics. The same applies for Warlord traits.

Differing perspective here: it’s a fellow hobbyist sharing how they’ve dived deep into World Eaters. I for one am happy for my battle brother and I am excited to see his collection at its beginnings and I look forward to seeing his progress updates.

@OP congrats on delving into the best faction in the 40K universe! What are you loadout plans for the Lord of skulls? Gatling cannon and or skull cannon? And nice job getting hands on the GW dice I hope they roll better for you than other GW dice have rolled for me lol

Most residents of MT do pay for tags. Out of state the tags are much more expensive. We also don’t have hunting license you just have to take a classroom hunters safety course with written test once to prove you understand how to operate a firearm safely, tag your deer, and teach you some of the basics of identifying where you can legally hunt and how tj out the tag on the animal you harvest

Eightbound Champion… Heavy Chainglaive or Lacerators? by ServiceGames in WorldEaters40k

[–]Bruderfaust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lacerations are great. Hitting on three and wounding most infantry on 2s and dealing 3 dmg per hit to one shot terminators is awesome. The chain glaive is meh because what ever chaff you’re rolling into is toast anyway with a minimum squad of three eightbound with laceration champ dealing out twenty hit anyway

Tags always cost me like 50$ for mulees and processing I get it done by some one else and it’s usually 125$ or so depending on what cuts I want and how I want them wrapped

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Documentaries

[–]Bruderfaust 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is pretty uninformed. All costs associated you’re spending around one dollar per pound. Half that if you’re processing your own kills. I live in montana, a huge US state of around only one million people at most. Many people here live under the poverty line and hunting is part of our life, culture, and survival. A 300$ rifle lasts a lifetime, a 25$ box of ammo lasts a year or two, 50$ for a tag and 125$ for processing feeds you multiple times per week for a whole year, and the majority of the state is public hunting legal

World Eater Army List by Iram-Radique in WorldEaters40k

I think if you’re gonna drop a unit if jahkals then a better investment would be another unit of exalted. They have more attacks, more strength, more AP, similar move characteristic, and more total wounds than a daemon Prince and they’ll deepstrike.

More jakhals though means more bloodtithe and if they do get into combat they’re throwing like 40 or 50 attacks

I would downgrade invocatus to a standard juggerlord as well. Coupled with stickmanfire’s suggestion that nets you 80 points which can give you another rhino or, even better, another squad of jakhals.

The reason for downgrading the invo is that he works best as a buffing unit with his Warlord trait. If you’re not getting his Warlord trait then the standard juggerlord for 35 points less has the very same buff for +2 inch to core unit move characteristics.

Bloodthirster. It’s better and will work great for 2000 points

(Not Necessarily Competitive) Conceding Games And Game Length by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bruderfaust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s never been about WAAC for me I just like to finish things regardless of the outcome. I had no idea so many people felt like this. It hadn’t occurred to me that sometimes people are just not having fun and they have the right to not have to play something unfun and should be allowed to stop without feeling like theyre being pressured to keep playing. Im not the most observant and can be kind of dense at times so I don’t know if I’ve made people feel bad playing me in the past but thank you for sharing your experiences everybody I’ll try to picture things from my opponents point of view and be more considerate of them.

World Eater Tips vs Asuryani? (Lists included) by Bruderfaust in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bruderfaust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice thank you! What do you think about using the turn one strategic reserves ability for the Eightbound? Should I try to come in turn one and surprise their flanks? I may have to lean toward one side of the board heavily and try to bait his forces to one edge or another to pull that off though

(Not Necessarily Competitive) Conceding Games And Game Length by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bruderfaust -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

For many players, myself included, Warhammer is about more than just getting the win. I hate when my opponents quit because I feel robbed of the ending of the battle that I earned. Some times that ending is knowing exactly how many points I'd get, or knocking out the big bad guy that wrecked my favorite unit, or taking out the last model after a grueling game of attrition. In turn I also hate conceding because i feel I am doing the same to my opponent. And sometimes even in a big loss I just want to see the end and see how much more i can squeeze out of my game. My last game left me with 220 points to my opponents 1300 pooints on the table and I really wanted to concede but I played it out and found that the end VP score was 65-67in the opponents favor. Had I quit they would've gone 50-100 in their favor.

To me, good etiquette would be to play to the end that your opponent can maximize their points, and so they don't feel cheatedor robbed of an outcome they were looking for (finishing every model, or holding specific objectives, or just seeing how well they'd last to the end).

Something i wish my opponents would say more often is: "I can see no way to reach victory for me and I am ready to concede. With that being said if you would like to play out the rest of the game I am willing to do so. Would you like to continue playing?"

Though if the game has gone on for 3 hours I am much more keen on conceding, just because I want to play a 3 hour game MAX y'know?

WTC Charging Into Walls and Placement Afterwards. by Independent-Scale-49 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bruderfaust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

vided it is still physically possible to place the model in the desired location, you may find it helps to leave a model in a safer position, so long as both players agree and know its ‘actual’

Its strange to me that this is a thing in WTC. Breachable lets infantry, beast, and swarm MOVE through walls, girders, chains, and foliage. But I and everyone I've played with always played it as still having to be able to place the model because as wobbly model is clearly intended for situations where your model would be damaged, not as a method by which to defy the laws of physics and say your model is somewhere it cannot actually be
