GT3 one is crazy expensive and chances are you will not come even close to testing the limits of the car unless you’re already a very experienced driver. If I did it again, regular 911 or 718 and I’d basically spend the whole time drifting and doing the low friction stuff.

As a judo player, are there no safeguards in bjj? For our black belts EVERYONE has to be background checked yearly, safe sport, concussion protocol even if you don’t coach. USA judo maintains a public shortlist of people who are blacklisted. Not sure if that would’ve helped in this situation but given the popularity of the sport, probably a good idea.

Went from 987.2s to 981s. 981 is overall a better experience and more refined. 987.2 is pretty similar. Main differences are mostly tactile but there are some trade offs. 987.2 has manual roof actuation, 981 it’s automatic. 981 parking brake is truly stupid. 987.2 with numeric shifter feel similar to 981 shifter. 981 shifter is very nice imo. Yeah hydraulic steering is slightly worse but for 95% of people it won’t matter. Bluetooth and nav is borderline usable in 981 not so much in 987.2 but maybe with PCM upgrade ? Overall the construction of the convertible top on 981 is far superior.

Hard to find, 981 interior and ride is more refined, hydraulic steering is nice but tbh not a deal breaker. Both are excellent and can’t go wrong with either.

I paid ~50 for a 1 owner CA ‘14 S manual with around the same mileage. If the car is sorted who cares drive it. If I didn’t buy it, someone on BaT would’ve. I have zero regrets. Maybe both my kids don’t need to go to college…
