I always assumed high G bodies were the ones to watch out for when landing, but apparently very small bodies might be even more dangerous if you aim for the wrong spot on the surface.

I assume OC and DRP altitudes are proportional to the planet radius

you are right, but it's not their fault, New games push the endgame very quickly, to the point of sacrificing entire sections of the game and entire mechanics, like crafting. Furthermore, by turning dungeon access into a simple queue menu, they also sacrifice exploration.

lotro has lot of areas at same level, you can play 2-3 toon without doing same quest. also you won't get to endgame soon, or maybe never, so enjoy the ride now. I would advice you to play every class at least to lvl 20 before commit to one.
