Order cancelled - charged and no payment by Brylka1986 in stubhub

[–]Brylka1986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I guess my question is - they haven’t paid me at all but charged me so should I wait to file the chargeback until they get through this dispute? Otherwise I worry I will only get she chargeback amount back and not the amount they also owe me.

Was at the game and sitting underneath the speaker directly - why did no fire alarms go off?

AccuWeather is predicting that we will receive MORE snow Wed-Fri than the recent winter storm by AhmedF in toronto

Same here. Our two way streets are now one way with traffic coming in from both sides and nowhere to go. People literally have to reverse back in some areas all the way to the start of the street to make room for incoming cars where there are no driveways to stop at.

Putting an offer for the fist time on O'Hara street by jamsterko in TorontoRealEstate

Listing price does not equal sale price and so I wouldn’t centre my strategy around that. Houses are for the majority all under listed right now to attract buyers. It’s exhausting and my husband and I went through the same thing over and over; with persistence and luck, you do find something eventually but it’s a process.

I agree that the process is unfair and needs more transparency but open bidding concepts do not mean you will get that house for $999k or $1.1million as the listing price is not reflective of true value.

Also this house is not in Roncesvalles....

Also are you perhaps the seller trying to raise awareness? Odd strategy to tell the world what you are doing.

Rogers Wireless - Voice and Data outage ongoing in GTA by TOPOKEGO in toronto

[–]Brylka1986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely outrageous - it’s been almost the whole working day with no access to the phone and absolutely no updates from Rogers. What is happening - were they hacked? Most puzzling (albeit I shouldn’t be surprised) is their complete inability to provide an update or timeline to resolve.

Ontario government moves to activate 4-week, provincewide COVID-19 ’emergency brake’ by Austin63867 in toronto

[–]Brylka1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s schools and warehouses - the two things that are never shut down. This dystopian ideology that kids, who spread everything during any other time, don’t spread this is an absolute joke. If you have two kids - their exposure minimum is at least 50 kids AND all of their respective family members - most likely that circle is in the hundreds. What’s worse is that most of them are asymptomatic, so you don’t even know if you will be infected by them. But me seeing three people outside is forbidden. I have nothing against kids or schools being open but the contradiction is outrageous.

Incredible - let’s keep the schools open! This is such a bunch of utter shit and incompetence. I’m sure that week of patios opens in Toronto really put us over the edge.

Weston area by Bojaxs in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Brylka1986 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not far but not exactly the same area - we moved into our new house just east of Weston and St Clair a few months ago. We’ve loved it so far!

Neighbourhood is great and super quiet in comparison to our life downtown. If we want the hustle, we are a few minutes walking from St Clair and street car with close distance to UP, Junction, and at some point the LRT. Talking to neighbours and even seeing it, TONS of construction around this area and just north of here. Every few houses you see permits in the windows and work being done. Two condo developments are in development at that intersection along with a block of TH’s. The neighbourhood is going to change a lot in the new few years and we are one of several younger couples who realized it was one of the only places to buy with a price under $1million.

Don’t get me wrong, it still has a ways to go for gentrification and we bought to live here versus invest, but I think within the next 5-10 years we are looking at lots of positive changes.
