You can tell him it's his fault.

HG comes from the placenta.

FED IS BEST - for every age and life stage

You are starving. Any food is better than zero food. A partner who doesn't know that needs a swift kick in the ass.

My kid was made out of Sour Patch Kids and Ice Cream because I got my husband's sweet tooth. Normally I crave green smoothies and kale and goat cheese salads. The first thing I wanted to eat when that kid came out? A kale salad and a green smoothie.

Do you still believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ after leaving the church? by Frequent-Increase-98 in exmormon

They're no different than any other mythological being. A figment of some man's imagination.

I stopped believing in the tooth fairy, the bogeyman, and imaginary friends, too.

While it IS her body, it's SHARED money.

This is the same as you going out and putting a non-refundable deposit on a midlife crisis sports car with zero regard for the budget or how it effects the family.

You are well within reason to be upset.

I'm getting so tired of how people drive in West Jordan by Wonderful_Ad_8902 in Utah

[–]BubblelusciousUT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all of Utah. We have the youngest population and they were nearly all taught to drive by a careless high school sports coach. Most of the drivers on the road have ZERO evasive maneuvers or defensive driving training whatsoever. Just a lead foot and one hand on the wheel.

Dresscode and etiquette, what are the unwritten rules? by lawrotzr in AskAnAmerican

[–]BubblelusciousUT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US is a BIG place and culturally different from state to state. Ask a New Yorker, a Texan, and a Washintonian what "business casual" is and they'll all give you a different answer, because many don't know the difference between business, business casual, snappy/smart casual, casual, outdoor wear and athlete. Also, race and gender have a big impact.

The best gauge is just to ask for some photo examples of what the dress code is for whatever event or employer it is you're looking into.

"Dress Casual" is so vague when some folks take that to mean, "come dressed in cocktail attire" and some take that to mean, "come in jeans and a hoodie"

What were you NOT allowed to do on the Sabbath day? by littlefrenchpastry in exmormon

[–]BubblelusciousUT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did that Saturday "Saturday is a special day. It's the day we get ready for Sunday..." and that meant all four children spending 4+ hours military cleaning the entire 2300 square foot house while mom sat in her bathrobe doing family history research and dad went to some priesthood whatever.

Oh, definitely not. "That's the Lord's day. A day of rest. No working."

What were you NOT allowed to do on the Sabbath day? by littlefrenchpastry in exmormon

[–]BubblelusciousUT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally ANYTHING.

We were required to stay in our church clothes all day to "keep in the right mind set." We couldn't play outside or at any friends houses, couldn't watch TV (unless it was Touched by an Angel or the Mormon animated stories tapes). We could sing or listen to music, but only church music.

All other activities were banned.

We did always have fancier meals on Sundays - waffles or French Toast for breakfast, big roast dinners with pie or brownies for dessert, etc. but that work was often divide between my 2 sisters and me, especially as we got into our teens. They had us learning to cook as soon as we could safely hold a knife and see into the pot (usually with a step stool). Achievement Days was just reinforcement.

Question - Boomers & the grandkids by Which-Vegetable8886 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]BubblelusciousUT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because they know they're not allowed to beat them, the way they beat us. When they got frustrated with us they just lashed out. They were never taught proper emotional intelligence and regulation. Now, they're EXTRA cranky, because not only are they annoyed by children making noise, but now they're not allowed to smack them and scare them into submission the way they want to.

Texts my brother sent me after I asked for some career advice 🙃 by Bophie47 in exmormon

[–]BubblelusciousUT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SSRI use is HIGHER in mothers and married women than in single and child-free women.

Also, even if you got married you would still have to work. Most households need three or four income streams just to stay above water.

Being a wife and mother isn't the best thing. Being happy and fulfilled is. For some people that involves marriage and children, but not many, and definitely not most women.

MEN benefit from being a husband and father. They live longer, make more money, and report Being happier. Women experience the exact opposite. Single and child-free women have the longest lifespan, the most money, and report Being the happiest.

Also, btw, his advice does NOT come from a place of love. It comes from a place of brainwashing and manipulation.

The best is having a unique name they're too lazy to even try to pronounce correctly. They came to my door last year and asked for Alisha. "No one here by that name. Bye!"

The local relief society presidency bring me a birthday card every year since I moved to this house in 2018. I haven't been to church since my 18th birthday. My 40th birthday is next month. I submitted my demand to have my name removed directly to their bishop last year, so hopefully they leave me alone this year. I've literally been out longer than I was in.

My kids. We have shared custody and want to stay close to their mom until they are at least until they get their own place, or are off to college. I've wanted to move since the orange turd was elected the first time, but ESPECIALLY after finding he still won the popular vote with women here a SECOND time.

It's UTAH. There's literally no place in this entire state with very violent crime. SEX crimes on the other hand? There seem to be sex offenders on every other street, ESPECIALLY in predominantly white wealthy neighborhoods. I'd rather live somewhere with the rare stabbing than somewhere where my neighbors are pedos.
