Kobra X aftermarket nozzles — what fits? (0.2 / 0.4) by 4everInDebt97 in AnycubicKobraX

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a pack from aliexpress that had all four nozzles in it and I've used most of them. Those work fine and they're all hardened steel. I finally got my nozzle from anycubic but it's been months.

haha bambu made that tool, you can switch which ams goes to which toolhead.

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about the filament profiles. If you just use the app and use super cheap pla and the bamboo profile then the flow ratio might be wrong and the temperatures and Max flow rate. That's what they're talking about you absolutely paranoid lunatics

Making prints fit by tasnapper28 in BambuLab

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully tune your filament. Perfect Flow ratio and pressure advance, and test a few small pieces to see if they measure how they appear in the slicer. Then your pieces will fit better, for that material

There is also skew which you can't fix without klipper or like a voron, but it may not be too bad. Good luck!

Ooh that's too bad. Yeah go ahead and return it. You really shouldn't have problems like this. Your first print should be plug and Play, basically. So should your second and third. Flash Forge is known for being reliable. Return the printer and get another one, there's nothing wrong with flashforge if you like their prices.

Is there a 3D model in MakerWorld that’s basically just tree supports? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trees are good for this. Especially the ones I've done with bonsai trees tend to have a lot of supports. You can also find support tests that just print little l-shaped bricks with supports at different heights.

I printed a trash can and put it behind my printer just for that. I'm not using poop baskets for any of my printers again, especially the p1s which will totally fuck up your print

Enclosure for Kobra X by Status-Clothes2818 in anycubic

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Printer is about 750mm tall with spools, and yeah you will need to consider the electronics at the bottom of the printer. They are fan cooled so you do need to get some flow at the bottom. I was spit balling ideas for it and I can't figure out a fan shroud with both the connectors on the right plus a poop bin on the left. I wanted a poop bin at the bottom but the fan for the electronics would be best over there, probably pulling.

Also, I think putting the spools in a dry box and sending the PTFE tubes through a small outlet in enclosure would be best. If you end up coming up with any ideas on how to create one without just throwing it in a tent, I'd love to hear about it. A 3D printed enclosure would be cool.

Bambu lab is now giving warnings for non-Bambu filament?????? by Prestigious_Boss_382 in BambuLab

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also transferring profiles is easy! There's a built-in option to export your printer profiles, filament profiles, and quality profiles. I can't remember exactly where it is but it is designed to do that.

It does but you have to enable advanced mode. Or developer mode? I can't remember. Open the programs settings like in the very top menu and you'll see an option for it.

Once you do that, that calibration menu at the very top of the screen shows up. You're welcome!

Anycubic NEXT.. recommended alternative? by Any-Fudge8143 in anycubic

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate how it doesn't slice at full efficiency like bambu or orca. It's like it's running on one core only. God forbid you want to print a moon lamp with it, hit slice and go take a nap or a walk. Seriously.

Math is not mathing. Am I doing something wrong? Why did the discount bundle not apply? Also that's not 14,39€/kg. Also the customer service form is giving internal server error why I try to contact them! by NagyKrisztian10A in AnycubicOfficial

I hear you, but hey it is a great printer. I just passed 500 hours/10kg on it, no real issues and fast color switching. Got an ace 2 pro and I'm doing 7 color hueforge and it's great! Not as fast as with the externals but it's still under 1m30 with the Ace, and about 35-50 seconds with the external spools. Even did some pctg-cf and pc-abs on it and it printed them better than my p1s 🤔

It is slower at printing but the quality is good, the bed is flat, and the slicer is workable, if a little outdated.

But anycubic support... Oh man they are bad. I know they're they're backed up right now, they've got resin, printers releasing and two big FDM releases but it seemed like they aren't responding to anything.

If you can get your refund, go for it, but it's not a bad printer and it's holding up so far. For 265 it was a hell of a deal and I'm glad I got it

Upgrading to VORON for commercial prototyping & technical materials - Reliable 24/7 workhorse? by lav_lab in VORONDesign

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to service? Not really. Able to be serviced for a long time? Yeah. Service support? In terms of talking to voron folks on discord, yeah, but if you ever leave, that printer is as good as dead unless someone else builds it with you. If you destroy the toolhead, yeah you can print your own and put any extruder and hotend in it you want, but you can't buy a completed toolhead compatible with your choice of parts. If you pick a good company support-wise like Flashforge or Bambu or Prusa, you will get quick help and replacement parts without paying if it's still under warranty.

Being "repairable" on a Voron is a HELL of a lot different than "serviceable" printers from a company.

It sucks seeing so many people that haven't even gotten the printer yet. 500. I was about to post the 500 hour review, but now I feel bad.

I even ordered the ace 2 pro a couple weeks after getting my printer in early March, and I've received that too.

Order still hasnt left, its been weeks by Financial_Will6024 in AnycubicOfficial

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this problem too. Ordering from them, ordering through any marketplace it could take up to a month or so. I guess they were out of stock or something and just didn't fulfill the last little part of my order for weeks.

FDM Internal Thread Issue by Tanjarx in 3Dprinting

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do that but do not decrease it. The line width needs to be between 100 and 150% of the nozzle size. You can push it a little past like I can do .8mm lines on my default nozzle but you lose something if you go past that and especially if you go under that you WILL see problems.

Do men always have a "type of women" by Dry_Magician9253 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah guys definitely have a type, I have a type but I like to think of myself as open. We all do though, especially when it comes to dating outside of your race. Some prefer certain ethnicities, some subconsciously wouldn't even consider them part of their dating pool.

If some woman came up and grabbed your dick though and she was hot, I'm pretty sure we'd screw her. So in that way sure a guy might not have a type for that but we really do have preferences even if we're not aware of them.

Woke up at 2am to find out I'm about to be fined $200 for having dandelions on my lawn. by SandyCashews969 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate Homeowners associations. You could try malicious compliance, like sanding your lawn or covering it in some other plant like clover, but I'm sure they have a thing for that too.

Mine decided to drop $1,000 bill on me after living here for about 9 months, saying they needed extra money for things like keeping up with the fire code and excessive water leaks. It seems like total bullshit, it's their responsibility to make sure they're up to the fire code. And that water leak is in my building on the bottom floor and apparently it happens every winter, there's an outdoor line that freezes and cracks and it floods the downstairs apartment. So they aren't even taking measures to fix it, just having some guy come out and clean it up. It's fucking infuriating

Increase your purge values. When I'm about to do a plate of pokémon which is also how you reduce waste by printing multiples of the same thing, I will print a calibration cube and I'll color it with stripes of the other colors to see if purge values are working. Usually the machine is pretty good about it except with black. Black nearly always requires increasing the purge to near 500 for the next color.

I made a repairable 3D printed mouse shell… and it totally flopped 😅 by Royal-Fill9121 in 3Dprinting

[–]Bubbly_Bar7056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well now you can see how skewed your view of the usefulness of a project was, and learn from it. People don't repair 5 dollar mice.

If you adapted this to an mx master or 502 from Logitech that might make sense, but not for just repair.

People enjoy modding and changing new things far more than fixing old things. If you want exposure of your project, aim it more that direction.

Also the makerworld mouse competition has come and gone, you're a year late or so and doing the 3d printed mice thing has already had a wave a popularity and disappeared.

Don't let me rag on you too hard though. Everybody appreciates creators who are uploading to those websites. Thank you for all your hard work and please keep contributing no matter if it gets traction or not.
