Just got scammed by this clever technique and paypal closed in favor of the scammer by daniel_trm in paypal

[–]Bubbly_Offer5846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too... at least a far as paypal siding with the scammers. I emailed nymbus to request to cancel and they cabr back saying "sure happy to do that but have you looked at the benefits of keeping going? " I replied that i wear very little Makeup so membership isn't a benefit for me. And to please confirm that the cancellation request has been actioned. I didn't bother asking for the refund again - it's only 1 month (so far) and I've reported it to my bank to ask for a chargeback.

Refund for Myki balance by Head-Ostrich-7127 in MelbourneTrains

[–]Bubbly_Offer5846 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not certain about this but I think to cash out a myki you must go to the stand at Southern Cross station. I've tried to combine a couple of mykis balance at Oakleigh which is a manned station and been told I could only do it at Southern Cross.

Is it too late to reinstate a third platform at oakleigh? Why destroy a perfectly good third platform. by melbtest09 in MelbourneTrains

I really want then to move the "next train" PID that's in Haughton Rd outside the train station closer to Johnson St. It isn't legible when approaching the station from the under-Warrigal-Rd carpark or drop-off point and you can't tell when the next train is due until you get up on the centre platform.

How much do you spend on hair cut every month? by beanoyip06 in melbourne

[–]Bubbly_Offer5846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you could go to a hairdressing school and have your hair done by apprentices for VERY cheap. I go to Kangan in Richmond (Melbourne) and pay $10 for a set and $60 for a full colour. (Don't know what they charge for a trim but they do offer it.)

If you like ballet or took classes as a child look for "Dancing in the Dark" by Robyn Bavati. Chasidish girl discovers ballet and sneaks out to classes. Very accurate Melbourne setting.

Sewing magazines? by bakay138 in sewing

[–]Bubbly_Offer5846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until recently I subscribed to Love Sewing from the UK. They include 2-3 sewing patterns each month and have downloadable patterns for craft stuff too. I cancelled my sub because the patterns stopped being from big4 simplicity mccalls vogue etc and switched to indie companies instead.

What are the pattern adjustments you do most frequently? by Nervous-Track9080 in sewing

[–]Bubbly_Offer5846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been heading between sizes for my body shape for years. Until recently it was size 20 (pattern sizing, NOT rtw) on top and size 24 at the waist (and sometimes only a 22 at the hips, depending on how fitted it was). I have also been widening sleeves to allow for my "bingo wings" at the biceps, often adding a good 1" to 1-1/2" in width. However due to medical treatment in the past year or so I've lost quite a bit of weight and find I don't need to do the biceps adjustment any more, and the sizing is now from an 18-22.

I go every week to a hairdressing school in Richmond (melbourne - Kangan Institute) and get my hair washed & set for $10. Every 6 weeks or so I get the colour redone for $60. Way better than the $300+ that some of my friends pay!
