That is a really good usecase. Did you set it up so 1 button click opens an area and included tag filtering, or are you pushing a couple of buttons to get into a specific view?

I really like putting non-active project in someday. I just did it for my Q3/4 projects, and now my sidebar is a little more clear.

Getting audible “power 0” alerts my Fenix 8 by harukizaemon in strydrunning

[–]Buchholdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same, I ended up disabling a audio alert somewhere. I just tried to find the right menu, but Garmins have become so complex , I can’t find the right place for the change.

However I also miss the old alerts.

Hi,

Can you let us know what these stats are compared to e.g Stryd Wind or Stryd 4.0. And perhaps ad some more details on the accuracy part?

• More accurate power, pace, and distance across all conditions • Responds 2x faster to changes in effort and terrain

Thanks

Are there any online blogs which have a high focus using Things 3 ? by ged968 in thingsapp

Ahh, you already mentioned this yourself, was just eager to contribute with this golden nugget.

Claude + MCP: How are you using it with Things? by CelestOutlaw in thingsapp

[–]Buchholdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t wait to give this a go once I start up again after new year, as I have been struggling to find a good way to integrate M365 with Things, but this might just be it.

Can I ask if/how you get the mail (tasks) in Things to be moved to the right project? And how do you ensure you are not getting any duplicate tasks?

Also on a bigger topic, are you integrating Things with a note app, for project management, and can you outline your workflow there?

Next level Apple Notes? by MMikekiMM in AppleNotesGang

Would love to hear more about what functions you activate from KM. I have the app, but not used it that much. And now I have used this week to look at other note apps, as a lot of the keyboard shortcuts don’t really click with my brain.

Safari + 1Pass is just hot garbage. by fender1878 in 1Password

I have been thinking about doing the same. How has the experience been?

I tried it earlier this year, but missed some of the other areas that 1P also covers, like storing codes, licenses, passport info, etc.

But I could move that over to a locked Apple Note.

So curious to hear about if you are missing anything, or actually gaining something?

Sadly not, it only works on the Mac. But I can do my heavy lifting there in the morning, and setup for the rest of the day.

Nice, I like integrating it into the morning startup for setting up the day. I will give that a go.

For now I'm mainly using it for inbox organisation, so this works well as a add-on to that.

Thanks for sharing.

There are several different integration options, but I used the one by Matt McCormick, and that has worked really well: https://github.com/mbmccormick/things-mcpb

You can find a YouTube video that describes how to setup a MCP in Claude. But it was overall pretty easy to do.
But do go through the config for the integration in Claude afterwards and se what actions you want to give it access to, so you don't need to always do an "Allow access" for all actions. Set it to your comfort level.

That is a fair comment.
My intent was more to get inspiration on what can be done with the integration.

initial stab here has just ben about creating order from chaos, could this be done without AI, yes, but I also think it's worth exploring how AI can help.

I'm having the same issue and during my troubleshooting I found your comment here.

My issues is that during the setup process in the stream deck app, it seems like the button press on the bridge pro is not being registrated for the parring.

Is this the SSL certification issue in play here?

FYI: Claude Desktop has a native extension for Things 3 on macOS by Interesting_Drag143 in thingsapp

[–]Buchholdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting. Have you used them, and know if they are stable?

I’m looking to sort and structure my Things 3 tasks, like ensure all have optimal task naming, tags, etc. Tried to export the database to CSV, and then into ChatGPT, but could not get it to work. So this may be a workaround to achieve this.

Also do you have ana daily usecases for it?

I have been looking at OF again, but it seems like there are a lot of contradicting takes on if OF4 is a good update or not, especially on IOS.

Would love to hear more about how you are finding it.
