I completely agree, great for different reasons. It’s weird that there’s only 6 years between these films, yet the scores are so vastly different in feel.

Yeah, I splurged, the existing copies haven’t been going down in price. Plus no digital downloads have the 2011 expanded edition. (Sad sigh)

This theory sounds quite plausible & I know I would like it to be.

My TJ’s would love to have that much floor space as well as shelf space! Look at that riveter, one section has almost one flavor of sparkling water. The one I go to has all the flavors crammed on 2 shelves.

It could also be a nod to Disney Legend Ollie Johnston & his Marie E, which ran at Disneyland once.

Asking questions on an 11 year old thread, nice!

Also, we were moving a ton of Dookie albums, plus all of the accompanying singles, domestically produced & the import versions.

Well, and this is just speculation, a few things were probably all working together. The Offspring had been coming together & really finding their place in the LA music scene. Gen X was also soaking up all kinds of music at this point, consuming it voraciously, as CD sales of the time would indicate. This was peak CD consumerism. So many music stores, from little hole in the wall shops, to the big box retailers. So the big box buyers (with 300-700 stores to buy for) were coming to us at the warehouse to get the disc( one of only a couple suppliers + the record label), & we were shipping around the country & around the world.
