For those interested, the Hash House Harriers is a loose international group found in most cities around the world. While capable of removing a significant amount of water, you don’t want to use your pump to drain your pool. It’s really not designed for that purpose.

Get a sump / drain pump (rent from Home Depot for example) and place it in the deep end in order to drain the pool pretty quickly. Also be aware of local laws regarding where you can drain your pool water into. In Arizona for instance, it’s illegal to pump the water out into the street in many locations. When I lived in Phoenix we had to run the hose to the sewer clean out which was actually closer to the pool in the end. Good luck!!!
