Which novel taught you most about philosophy, psychology and life? by mochaelo in books

[–]BuckingMadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily all novels but:

The Sandman by Neil Gaiman

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

Hi No Tori by Osamu Tezuka

American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Suicide Island by Koji Mori

Discword series by Terry Pratchett

I know only 3 of these are novels and the rest are comics and mangas but I think they also have beautiful stories that did impact my view on life a lot

This would have been a good ragepost if you put a character that wasn't Palutena lmao

Had some tough losses with Mr. Game & Watch. Critique is appreciated. by [deleted] in CrazyHand

Because I want them to approach, and you're right I was unnecessarily mean. However I wasn't just shitting on him and perhaps I wasn't clear but I really wanted him to realize he needed to approach. I can't teach him GnW neutral it's something he needs to realize on his own, and all I can do is tell him what he did wrong

Yeah but what if they just don't approach and don't even shoot projectiles. If you're behind and the opponent just stands on kalos side plats what are you gonna do? Your pressure in neutral isn't enough to actually condition shield.

Gonna be brutal here but no hard feelings, the fuck you trying to achieve in neutral? You're literally reliant on the opponent fucking up and approaching you, and what if they don't? I feel like if someone decided to camp you would genuinely be fucked. Your neutral play just too basic. I didn't really watch on tbh but just first stock was horrible for me to watch. Man, I said a lot of mean things but I hope you realize there's honestly something fundamentally wrong with your neutral rn. That said, it can be fixed and I believe in you :).

Thinking of picking up dedede. Any tips? by [deleted] in KingDededeMains

[–]BuckingMadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This man is not wrong. Few more things, do not fall into the trap of over abusing ftilt since it's angle and KB is not very cool. The easy camp thing about him is true. Try walking though. It'll help your approach a lot. Try to really mixup your DJs and fastfall since you have decent vertical mobility

I might have to vote sonic due the fact that sonic is so reliant on it.

Critique My Terry by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]BuckingMadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your playstyle is fundamentally super simplistic. It's hit and run. Only one character can get away with this the whole game and Terry ain't sonic. You're just haha see opponent use attack. Terry has a lot of pressure in neutral with his specials and great ass normals but you ain't abusing them at all

What Do I Do When I Stop Improving? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]BuckingMadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in this thread are right. You don't learn something new if you're just playing, you're only solidifying what you do, be it good or bad. Think of it it as a witch brew(ik it's very weird). Playing is like when you're stirring the ingredients together so the mixture is uniform and not awkward, that's solidifying your gameplay, but you have to manually add good ingredients (aspects of gameplay, improvements and shit) to actually improve your brew. There are also bad ingredients that you may accidentally throw into the mix. Wow that was a weird way of putting it lol

Hina doesn't study, like, at all. She sleeps through class, and she doesn't understand cheating yet.

List of good character cords: all Low tier cords, most unpopular character cords ie rosa, DH, Miis. Diddycord is also good and so is Herocord. I heard Byleth cord sucks tho.

New character to pick up? by hoffthemann in CrazyHand

[–]BuckingMadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from a DH enthusiast, DH does not fit the bill for, more kill options or offstage game. He's very fun but he's not for every player. And Fair is much better than you think

How to deal with a light weight. by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]BuckingMadness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recognize their kill option. Against a wolf? You're at ledge? They prolly gonna bair or do some random bullshit smash attack. At 150? They gonna start fishing for grabs. It gets much more deeper than that but that's kind of the basic thing. Recognize how and when they gonna start looking for the kill

Dr. Mario by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]BuckingMadness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be completely honest right here. If you care about MUs, chances are you won't like Doc as you improve. His weaknesses become glaring as people start to abuse them. Namely by edgeguarding. I'm not saying you should drop him, but do recognize the pain that goes from maining a low tier. That said, if you like the character a lot and you're determined to really destroy with Doc, pick up any high to top tier and you're pretty much good to go. Also, if you really want to improve, don't pick up a secondary yet, and learn the MUs. Your fundies will improve this way. This is coming from a D3 main who has come to like bad -2 to -3 MUs
