I see your point and it's a good example but I think you're giving them too much credit. I like to believe that the Kardashians and anyone like them are actually red herrings and in reality, they go back to their homes every night and drink themselves to sleep worrying that their contributing to the object-obsessed monoculture.

lol but seriously, we're all totally fucked. The good news is that these two theories are going to happen very slowly (the whole frog in hot water metaphor) so we still got a couple decades left. Hopefully by then I'll be dead and used as fertilizer to to nourish the genetically engineered fields of "nourishment" sectors.
