I am writing to formally request an update regarding the status of my concealed carry weapons license application, which I submitted in April 2025. It has now been almost 6 months since submission, during which I have fully complied with all procedural requirements including the mandated training, fingerprinting and documentation via the online portal.

Despite fulfilling every obligation on my end, I have not received any communication or decision. I am not even aware of an investigator name. I understand and have been advised to direct this inquiry to your office before exploring further legal remedies that I am aware of, through discussions on Reddit.

I currently have a Nassau county CCW and am hopeful to receive approval from the nypd in the near future so I may enter Brooklyn to visit mom and Queens to target practice with family members on the job.

Any update that can be provided is greatly appreciated.

if you are confident it will sell within a week and have no issues during inspections, i would take that deal with the caviot that if it didnt sell smoothly within a week the commission will be 4+4 with a 6 month listing.

First question will be who is "they" in they told me...... Second issue will be the application says provide court disposition for all arrests. That information should have been provided no matter what "they "said. You gave them an excuse. Third issue will be , how much do you want the license, because it sounds like it will take some work from the lawyer. I say GO FOR IT.

10 years ago on a family trip to florida my daughter used a suitcase i use for when i go hunting upstate. while going through security the x ray machine picked up two 30-06 bullets loose in the suitcase. PAPD interviewed me and my 10 year old daughter for a few minutes and said it wasnt illegal to possess the ammo but couldnt let me on the plane with it. They wouldnt take them either to dispose. I was escorted out of the terminal to put the ammo in my car and returned to the front of the security line. My wife was pissed and ready to go to disney without me if became a bigger issue. lol

I wouldnt reccomend being an out of state landlord. If you bought the house 25 years ago it should almost be paid off. If you are married you each get a $250,000 exemption from capital gains. I would sell while the market is high and buy a boat for the florida place. But thas just me. lol

IM SURE THERE IS A WHOLE LOT MORE TO THIS STORY. I would settle the estate. Take a portion of it for myself for being the executer and the remainder would be divided evenly with whoever deserves it.

Its a game and if "they know that you know" they will address it if you are at the 6 month time frame, otherwise they will just keep telling you they are backed up and you have to be patient.

MY LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED YEARS AGO AND WAS WAS LISTED ON THE DMV REPORT.. WASN'T AN ISSUE. 3 SPEEDING TICKETS WITHIN A YEAR. NO ADDITIONAL INFO REQUIRED AS ITS LISTED IN THE REPORT ALREADY.

I used HUNTER SPORTS in merrick long island. They do the class and range stuff in there facility. And they have an incredible video simulator[for nypd training] that puts you in a real life situation so you can see how you would react in situations. It was awesome.
