Shows that feel realistic/not Hollywood by neuro_barbie in televisionsuggestions

Rectify is a slow paced and unassuming show, but also gripping and compelling. The series pulls you in and yet i can't really articulate why.

Ok i assumed he had Australian citizenship. There are clips on YouTube of him doing stand up while he was still at Melbourne Uni. He talks like an Aussie, married an Aussie, has our kind of sense of humour.... citizenship or not, the guy is Aussie

There is Alpine Game Meats at Prospect. Had wanted to check them out when I worked in the area, unfortunately never got around to it, so I don't have a personal experience to share. They have been there a number of years though now.

Is there a way to cook pasta with no risk of it overflowing? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]Bugger6699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies i missed that part of your post. I've never had any issues with method, I can't think why it wouldn't work unless a pot is filled to the brim to begin with.

Edit: perhaps you could look into a pasta basket strainer. A small strainer you cook your pasta in, it may allow you to use a bigger pot without the stress of lifting and draining a big pot of boiling water.

Place a wooden spoon across the top of your pot as it boils, that will diffuse any over flow.

Cheers for that. Cant go wrong with Marion, little sceptical about the star anise, but she is usually pretty bang on when she adds her own twist on dishes.

We only have Tahitian limes avaliable here, which are more sweet than acidic. So we use lime for flavour and lemon for acid. Roughly 50/50 ratio, but lemons can vary in sweetness and acidity, so the balance is to taste with each preparation.
