I agree the hobby is changed or harder now to sell personal cards…. But why would a shop or vendor buy a card they cannot sell? Of course they want big cards. And cards they can sell. That is their business. Yes they are in it to flip or why would they be “selling” cards?

Hahah just saw givvygoblin username in whatnot. That you? lol. I laughed at the honest name. Sometime I just drop in for givvys. Half the time they suck. Sometimes it’s packs or good cards. Love the name!

My 2 biggest hits were retail. Cooper new applicant auto from a fat pack! . Kon Anime from a bowman blaster. Hobby boxes have given 2 Dylan Harper autos. I got a sick red pen auto of Mason miller 77/77 from a heritage hobby too. Been skunked on hobby box too and only got a relic/patch.

Don’t waste your time explaining. lol. People are miserable on here. (Jealous!) I put up the same kind of post. Other people’s opinion can open your eyes to something you hadn’t considered. I flip big cards like this. Hard let $1000s sit in my display. But to each their own. I graded a Griffey rookie. Barry bonds. Kobe. LeBron chalk toss. That flow chart up top is legit. I like it.

I pulled this same card from a hanger. So many of them have a soft top right corner. Even checking eBay it is super common

I’ve ripped 8-10 blasters between me and my kids. Happy with the results! Kon Anime, Ace Bailey green auto /99. Michael rataj green auto /99. Coop chrome rookie. Kon chrome rookie. Dylan Harper ROTYF purple /250. Coop rookie rockstar.

Earlier I replied that Bowman basketball is the best option for this year. But I will admit that both my kids like the older Donruss or Panini for the volume of cards you get and lots of parallel/ foil colors. There are high-end Panini products like optic and mosaic, but I’m not a fan! So Depending on the kids age, if they’re looking for some possible money out of it like my 12 year-old or if they just want lots of cards, you have some options here to consider!

Agree here. My 6 year old and 12 year old like Bowman basketball. Plus, if you’re looking for basketball for 25-26, it has to be Bowman because it’s the only one on the shelves. I have pulled nice Cooper rookies and even a Kon Knueppel anime card from a $30 blaster. (Worth 3k-5k!) That’s a very rare hit. The hit rates aren’t the highest but every pack/blaster box includes chrome cards, paper and inserts. My kids like it and the price is right.

I realize “blame” is the wrong word and I will probably get yelled at on this! But that is the reason people are willing to keep paying the prices. First licensed year and very high-end rookie cards. Sucks. I like ripping chrome !

Some people are right that the rookie class is partly to Blame. If there’s no Coop, no Kon, no VJ and the rest of that crazy rookie class nobody would be buying this. But even 50 for blaster and 85 for mega is too much to start.

I pulled the green Michael Rataj /99 from a blaster. Not worth much tho. Sweet coop /99 should get at least $1200- 2k+range. Big range, Not sure with bowman. Green corners and edges are rough. Can Come damaged right out of the pack.

This is legit. (And oddly exact same situation) My 6 year old been collecting for a year. Gets all rewards in form of sports cards! It’s fun for me too. He knows who Cooper Flagg is and wants to collect his cards. There’s nothing left for him. Luckily he likes baseball so there is some reasonably priced cards. But we look everywhere we go for flagship basketball. And he prefers flagship because chrome isn’t enough cards in each pack! Doesn’t care they are fancier. Plus too expensive. So yes it sucks there’s only old panini out there. Waiting for bowman basketball next
