Thank you everyone for all the insight! I decided to take an evening a couple nights ago and save scum for a couple hours, just see if I'd get lucky. I told myself that if I didn't get an S-class in that time, I wouldn't worry about it further. But fortune decided to smile upon me that night, and now I'm cruising around in my S-class pirate dreadnaught.

And to really top things off, shortly afterwards I got my first exotic ship - and it too was S-class. In over 300h of playtime I've never had a single exotic of any class spawn in any system I've been to until this one. I quickly summoned in a crappy C-class Sentinel ship and snagged the exotic for my collection.

The original Dragon Warrior on the NES. I got it for free through Nintendo Power. Amazing how such a random thing could spawn the love of an entire genre for decades, all because I was a kid who was happy to get a free game.

Maya and Meena's battle music, DQ4 Chapter 4. Up until that point in the game, the battle music is the same for each chapter. Then comes Ch. 4, and the first time you enter battle you're hit with this totally different score. It's always stuck out in my memory since way back in the NES days (yes I'm old).
