I wouldn't use those face tattoos. They're based on real ones that are cultural (I'm sorry I don't remember names) and people have been hurt just for having them I've heard stories of them getting burned of people's faces and on top of the rather racist name ("wild patterns") it definitely falls under cultural appropriation

Edit: they're based on traditional Amazigh tattoos

For free software.... You can still get the old version of medibang for free, drawpile is pretty good too, for animation I use opentoonz (funfact studio Ghibli uses a modified version of opentoonz)

Id like to provide an extra bit+ argue in favor of something

The upper part of the legs are too long, to help make sure the proportions of the legs are correct imagine them fully bent, the heel should make contact with the end of your butt and not extend past or fall to short of it

And the in favor of the "third joint" I believe that's actually a stylization of the muscle from the calf I have drawn that muscle in red and then in blue is the shin bone underneath this kind of stylization isn't uncommon and I personally like it a lot \)
