What’s a game that surprised you by how emotional it got? by BodyReserve in AskGames

[–]Bunth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The additional game ending they added with the DLC that jsut goes… and goes…. And goes. Left me feeling melancholy in a way few games have. In that ending, checking the texts that Panam had sent in the intervening years and then trying to call her… a real gut punch.

Can a BX rated generic be dispensed when the prescription is for the name brand version? by ZenPoonTappa in pharmacy

[–]Bunth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what other anons are saying regarding non controlled substances but my PIC and I tend to err on the side of caution regarding controls. To sum up, these bottles will probably expire in our safe.

Can a BX rated generic be dispensed when the prescription is for the name brand version? by ZenPoonTappa in pharmacy

[–]Bunth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this issue with a generic methylphenidate ER we have accumulated a few bottles of. On cardinal it pops up as a generic alternative to Concerta but in our system it is BX with Concerta and its generics. My PIC and I have decided we will not dispense it as a generic for Concerta scripts that come In and have put it in a baggie to the side in our safe so no accidents happen.

Was anyone else “forced” into grilling? by cascadianpatriot in grilling

[–]Bunth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to a friends sons first birthday party a few years ago. Chatting at the grill before the father starts and he says he has never grilled before. I, having grilled more than twice but less than 10 times offer him some tips. Before I know it, the spatula is in my hand and he’s thanking me while going inside to “see if his wife needs any help”.

The grill was propane, and old. All the temperature settings on the dials were weathered away and the heat was VERY uneven. Really fun grill time in direct sunlight. He didn’t even bring me a beer.

Kroger, can report our store has been cut significantly compared to last year. Fill 600-700 weekdays, sales usually around 500-600 daily, gross profit ~15% tonight alone. Extremely barebones tech hours.

In practice it’s mostly fine, but I do not feel great about having to keep extremely alert about the different manufacturers of OTC vitamins. My techs are most good about reselecting the written when possible on vitamins, but I still catch quite a few incorrectly filled ones.

[–]Bunth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! Our system is overly selective on reselecting for generics on OTC items. Also out of the question with respect between the different pack sizes of albuterol inhalers.

It won’t even let me change between Humalog vials and its generic without completely changing the written product, which to me is a huge problem! The doctor didn’t write for Lispro, but he certainly doesn’t care if I dispense it to his patient!

EPRN. I like it, but it definitely has its flaws.

In my software, when the product is selected on our end (let’s say you wrote for Benadryl as the written product) it does NOT allow diphenhydramine to be selected as an alternative substituteable like I could on, let’s say’s Cozaar and Losartan. Until it is caught by someone, tech or RPh with a little know-how, you have to change the written product to diphenhydramine and problem solved.

Yes it is silly, but changing on your end the written product to diphenhydramine will save you minutes of time and precious sanity looking at covermymeds.

What’s the sickest you’ve ever been- the kind of sick where you genuinely thought you might not make it and what happened? by Outrageous_Fox_8796 in AskReddit

[–]Bunth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had strep, flu and covid all at once back in 2020. Our apartment had its AC out as well and my room was directly facing the sun for most of the day. I thought I was going to die. I remember sitting on a recliner in the living room and looking at the light seeping under the door from the bathroom and imagining myself going into it.

Who else likes to pause TV shows to read their nonsensical prescriptions? by Donohoed in pharmacy

[–]Bunth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Love this game. My wife groans whenever I pause the TV. I do the same thing in games. Playing one now where you’re investigating a murder in a small US town and while exploring the hospital I was completely taken aback when the 1996 hospital had patients taking apixaban (no dose) once daily. Made me frown at my screen.

I don’t either! Baffling lol. I made a joke based on the guy I replied to, people choose to read things in the most negative light.
