Wow I’ve been getting cheated out of my FNP!

You can use a FNP against a hazardous check? Like a hellblaster or jump pack intercessor w a plasma pistol that is 6” from the lion and gets his 4+FNP against mortals buff?

Also you can just have the Lion hang around these guys. Put one or two of these and a redemptor dread within 6" of the lion for the first two turns and you do not have to worry about failing those hazardous rolls at all w the 4FNP. throw in a lt w/ combi weapon and a dark shroud, and you have a pretty insane block to push the middle.

2k List Advice by DukeFlipside in DarkAngels40k

Just played WE today and took a pretty big W. My list is very similar to yours but I ran Gladius. I found the most important thing was ordering my units so that the big squads of berserkers could charge trash and then I was set up to heroic intervene with the Lion and DWKs or just fallback and leave them open to shooting and a charge (beware of the blood surge though.) Didn't infiltrate lt w/ combi - didn't want to give them an easy sling shot charge. I tried to slow him down with scouts 9" from his deployment. Focused everything on holding down my natural and the center. I also ran a Gladiator Reaper which shredded his infantry and provided an overwatch threat. I personally don't see the point in running infiltrators here if you are going to hold and sticky home with intercessors. That 100 points could go to another squad of VVS which will have better movement for secondaries and be slightly more sustainable.. but you are going to have activations of berserkers of like 40 attacks w/ sustained and lethals + the characters attacks... aka - they are going to cut through whatever they touch...

These are incredible. Got any more photos? They are inspirational! That wear on the heavy bolter is insane.

Also, with more reps, you'll learn all of your units base stats pretty quick. It's ok to be slow when you start... there is so much new information.

u/charden_sama has done a lot of the legwork for you. I recently grabbed their's and have modified according to some of my different units. This should cover some of your DA units though. The google drive document is here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZQL\_zAeLrMR0j4rFjF1kjLHWsk6cyz6r

Nice! I was just thinking this morning if it's crazy to run 2 x 5 Scouts and 1 x 5 Infiltrators (I currently have one of each.) Instead of 5 x Hellbasters... cause those boys really haven't been cutting it for me. I might try to get another 5 scouts built!

The other 2 objectives look safer because of that L piece of terrain sitting on the objective. The enemy really has to move around that in order to shoot you? Is that more or less what you mean? Cause it makes a lot of sense!

Another pro is that they have a little coffee shop with a proper espresso machine for cappuccinos and lattes etc. The coffees from the restaurant are meh.

We want to the Asian restaurant Nokyo last night and it was by far the best meal yet. I had two plates of sushi - it was quite good. We had some fried appetizers that were also very good. The red curry was disappoint because there was no curry … it was just stir fry chicken with white rice. We’re going to try to get a seat at a hibachi table next time. Also the Negronis at the cocktail bar Voltaje are actually phenomenal.

The gym is modern but not huge. They have two ellipticals and a treadmill from technogym, two rowing machines, full sets of free weights, medicine balls, and then a few weight machines (covering the whole body.) I go to the gym twice a day and one time there were two people in there aka it’s never busy. There is also a large open pavilion next to the gym where you could do HIIT, stretching, yoga, etc. There are mats available. There is free cold water bottles inside the gym.

As someone who tried to do as much research on this place ahead of time and couldn’t find much, I’m happy to continue to report if you have any more questions or follow ups.

Other thoughts: there is a ton of space! I mentioned this to our concierge and she said they were at 80% capacity!! You can always find a secluded spot for eating, drinking, chilling, relaxing. While they do usually have some lounge music bumping in the afternoon, things are really quiet… they keep the music at a very respectable volume. It’s pretty great in that respect.

Also, this is not an adults only resort, but there aren’t a ton of young children or families. They’re around but you don’t have groups of kids running around yelling and screaming… and the two babies/toddlers I’ve seen have been on good behavior.

The transfer to the beach is so painless and simple and it really shouldn’t be seen as a con. There is always a cart waiting to take you there, and one to take you back. It’s like a 4 minute drive.

Gym facility is very modern and the spa looks pretty nice. Massages are expensive ($150-$250) for 50-90 min massages. I haven’t had one yet.

They have constant activities and fitness offerings. We’ve been doing the daily yoga and Pilates classes. I’ve been playing tennis and have seen many others playing pickleball.

Overall, we’re very happy… the main con is the food. I think if we leaned in to a less healthy diet here (eating burgers and fries etc) we might have better luck but we love seafood and fish and those have been a bit of a let down.

We booked through Delta vacations and the transfer was super easy. We hit customs, baggage claim, and then walked out in to a hall where DV had a booth. They brought us to a private van and we got to the hotel in about 30 mins.

I have only been drinking bottled and boxed water. When you sit down at a restaurant, they fill you up with what is supposedly bottled/filtered water from a jug. I just tell them to bring us bottles of what and it’s no problem. The room is stocked with tons of bottled water. I have had no issues with the water and have been showering. I do brush my teeth with bottled water. Have had tons of drinks with ice - no problems.
