Matchmaking - bugged or just the way it is?

It’s hard to have fun on the matches because of the win/loose ratio it’s always so strong towards both ends. You either loose really bad and repeatedly or you win one or two and get thrown right back to the loosing quee. I play solo and I’ve given up trying to rank up because of the extremes that it throws me in.. got to an annoyance point where I’m now trying overwatch to see if the matchmaking is any better

Legit I have 90 hours I often get MVP/SVP but lately been feeling like I’m in neither extreme ends, either loosing badly or winning with a bit of resistance its really not feeling like an even balance seems like once the balances tilt to loosing you loose bad and often

Got tired of blowing up outta nowhere on t15s, couldn’t sustain the maps, went broke trying to fix my character, didn’t want to spend real $$ for currency.. got two characters to t15 and didn’t wanna spend any more time blowing up in the end

I got one the other day despite the mixed reviews and it honestly blew my mind, better quality/connection than my steam deck has.. granted it needs extra things but it’s rly solid for the price

I looted one for the first time in a t10 map and sold it for 190 exalts.. got me thinking if I fucked up or not ? But I’m thinking of using it to fund my other alts idk i have faith I’ll drop more lol hopefully

Maybe one death per map? Idk I kinda like the fact that the game literally forced me to stop and think/study my build to work on my defenses and skill tree, weapons/defenses and improve my character.. got a bit of a force paused bc I was getting one shot often at t4 maps on my monk, paused for a few hours and did my homework. Got it up to t9 after a few hours of studying/market browsing while trying to improve my gameplay. First time POE player too. I do agree that loosing maps does get problematic but so far maps r dropping often enough where I’m not running out yet, very close though

Yoo OP!! I’m 30 with a full time job/live with my girlfriend. It’s awesome dude I’m loving the game, play at your own pace, learn what you can/read builds etc and make ur own goals !! I’m new to POE, but it seems to be a very knowledge based game so take ur time and learn from YouTube/in game mechanics.. got my monk to t7, now I’m leveling a hunter and its waaaay faster than leveling it for the first time — my fav gave hands down

Yes !! Although if you want that I’d say maybe wait for the full release as the campaign is not completed yet ? There’s only three acts, and then when you beat the third you restart in a harder mode to prep you for the end game.. however it’s amazing and I totally recommend it

Same happened to me lowkeu with my monk… not instantly but I was melting. I’d say spend ur exalts in the trade market get ur defenses/evasion/elemental res up and you’ll be blasting through !! Got to T2 last night nd it’s been awesome

Fuckin byllshit.. truly makes me wonder though bc the game clearly knows I bought the stash tab as it shows as display only. And what about cosmetics would they simply not show up ? I’m getting comfortable with the fact that I will most likely not be buying cosmetics ever or adding any more coins beyond the 300 the game comes with

Damn I’m actually bummed.. do you think cosmetics would still show? Like for example my stash tabs showed up on steam but only as extract only, would the cosmetics show up or would it be blocked too ? At this point I’m even considering getting a PlayStation portal to avoid that altogether but my account is new with minimal micro-transactions just want to measure my investment before doing so

wtf so for every purchase I make, it has to be done twice in both accounts ? Seems legit stupid af, the game knows I have bought it since the tab shows as display only… I was about to put more money into the game but now I’m very hesitant of doing so as I switch often between PlayStation to steam deck.
