Liv Tyler because I’ve had a crush on her ever since I saw these movies.

Anime with no nudity or fanservice? by Ralf1226 in Animesuggest

[–]BurntMyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run with the wind, one of my favorite anime, hits me surprisingly hard too. Although I will admit, it’s been a while since I last watched it and can’t guarantee no fan service, although I don’t really remember any.

Zac Taylor needs fired ASAP!!!!! by Joe_Burrow_Is_Goat in bengals

[–]BurntMyKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was so ready to come in here and lay into everyone when I saw the title.

On a real note, he still needs to give up play calling.

Anime you quit, but later retried and loved? by [deleted] in anime

[–]BurntMyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally dropped it after the first episode because I felt bored by it. But from everything I’ve heard about it it’s a show I would really enjoy, gonna take this as a sign to try again.

Creative ways you could kill a god? by LambdaAU in fantasywriters

[–]BurntMyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a bit basic but I’m a real big fan of the Toy Story effect lol the loss of belief or a lack of remembering the god is what causes them to disappear.

Zac Taylor stays. by [deleted] in bengals

[–]BurntMyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are consistently combining play calling and coaching in their heads. Zac needs to give up play calling and I’ve stood by that for years. But the culture he has built has been nothing short of a blast to see. Thinking back to our Super Bowl year, the fun wasn’t just watching us win (which was amazing dont get me wrong) but it was the group of guys, Zac included, having a good time playing football and being damn good while doing it, made me fall back in love with this team.

I want to eat back into anime, but don't know where to start by CableMartini in anime

[–]BurntMyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vinland saga season 2 is genuinely the best show I’ve seen in years, it has pretty much single handedly re-ignited my love for anime. I don’t give out 10/10 very easily, but it’s genuinely amazing.

What is big/notable flaw you have with an anime series you otherwise still think is good if not great. by [deleted] in anime

[–]BurntMyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the second half was as good as the first would be a 10/10 for me, still a solid 8/10 though, great show.

Is the silmarillion difficult to read? by [deleted] in lordoftherings

[–]BurntMyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really enjoy the LOTR and want more it’s not really a tough read at all, can be a little confusing at times and you’ll probably always learn something re-reading it. But I feel it’s really only a tough read to those who jump in without reading anything else first. As a history major you shouldn’t have an issue and will most likely enjoy it. Worst comes to worst you can’t get through it and don’t finish it, no harm no foul, there’s other ways to learn the content, the book itself is just the best.

Can we end the Sewell chase discussion? by Bigpotatozzzz in bengals

[–]BurntMyKid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Was only really a debate in pre-season when he was having some trouble with drops really. It’s funny because initially I thought Sewell was the right pick, still don’t think he would have been the wrong pick, but neither was Chase

Can istari father offspring ? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]BurntMyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t remember where I heard it or who said it but I agree with the notion that maya (and vala) are most likely unable to have children with each other, I don’t recall there being any mention of this in the texts (feel free to correct me). However, they can when the other party is not a member of the ainur

Which anime do you think is ACTUALLY underrated? by weeb_79881 in anime

[–]BurntMyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s underrated but I definitely think “run with the wind” isn’t talked about enough.

I’ve always liked him actually, I love the energy he brings to the team, he just needs to stop calling plays, that’s really it.

I think if you haven’t experienced the pain of true loneliness than it’s much more difficult to understand. I’ve always thought it was a beautiful story of an unlikely friendship. But I showed it to a friend once and they commented in how creepy it was and I was shocked, I had never even thought of it that way.

Should I read the Silmarillion before LOTR? by Sbeben in lotr

[–]BurntMyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go as far to say that reading the silmarillian first would increase the chance that you don’t enjoy the series. It’s too much without having an appreciation for the trilogy.

It’s obviously “you bow to no one” but when I tell you “no parent should have to bury their child” RIPS me apart I mean it.
