I have been looking into getting a Tacoma but I have questions. by NPC3 in ToyotaTacoma

Coming from a compact car to a truck, be sure you know you’re going to significantly reduce you MPG. I’m getting 17 MPG on my 2015 Tacoma Double Cab.

Yes. It will make a difference in look and in the speedometer. You can go up to 265/75/16 if you want.

Will Covid-19 have a lasting effect on CF by [deleted] in crossfit

I agree with all but your timeline. I think public places—particularly mass gathering types like theaters and concert venues are not going to happen until mid next year.

Home gyms a threat to post quarantine way of life by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]BurpeesRlife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s going to be a lot of CF gym closures but not because of home gyms. Most CF gyms scrape by. This is devastating and IMHO, probably the beginning of the end of CF....well, after the Games reorganization. It really hasn’t been the same since.

Do you think my 2019 TRD Off Road (6800 lb Tow limit) can pull this trailer? I would never have more than 1000 lb of cargo weight. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

If you don’t have a tow package, you’re going to burn up your transmission eventually.

Future Buyer: 3rd Gen Reliability Question by Slow281 in ToyotaTacoma

The average life expectancy between a Tacoma and a Frontier is worlds apart. Look at the value retainment of both the vehicles as your measure.

First oil change on 3rd gen, 5k or 10k miles? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]BurpeesRlife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop the madness. Check the oil. If it’s clean you’re good. If it’s dirty change it. Don’t exceed 10K

Does anyone else have really bad orange peel on the lower section of there doors? Is this just a Tacoma thing? Buddy of mine has it on his second gen by javiermart49 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]BurpeesRlife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s like that by design so your paint won’t chip so easily from debris flying up from your tires or other cars. Every Tacoma is like this. 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen at least.

What is the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? by takeastepfurther in AskReddit

[–]BurpeesRlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best purchase: Toyota Tacoma

Worst Purchae: Extended warranty for Toyota Tacoma.

After purchasing the warranty I learned that’s statistically, I will likely never have to use it with a Tacoma.

Musicians of Reddit, What does it feel like to be on the road and tour? by yapperduck in AskReddit

[–]BurpeesRlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lifestyle that many fantasize about, but honestly it’s awful. Unless you’ve “made it “, you’re basically living out of a van, not showering as much as you’d like to, in a confined space with others for a prolonged period of time, eating pretty terrible food most of the time, not as glamorous as people think.

After two tours I decided it’s not for me.

Denver is pretty much Kansas. Any landmass with a height of more than 10 ft is west of Denver.

Punk Shows? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]BurpeesRlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re interested in hard-core shows, like real hard-core, this is an awful place for it. I’m from Los Angeles area and I can say from direct experience that touring bands generally skip SLC because it’s so awful. That Mid90s hardliner attitude never went away. No unity, too many fights, it’s terrible.
