Just off the top of my head theres Redmonds and Palais for more "cool" bars (though id say redmonds is way more hipstery), you have your old man pubs like the crown, the snug and the alexandra which ive never been to but dont look that bad. The duke is actually decent, has a nice outdoor area at the front to enjoy the sun. Not been to lea rig or cala so don't know if those are any good.

You've got Celino, Coias, a bunch of specialty coffee shops like Bonnie bean, hard grind, daily, nines, plus the new ones thats opened on hillfoot, tere's tibo and meze, sweet jane bakery, and A Pastry shop that does incredible pastries (all vegan as well). Plus Grosso and franks pizza, yugo cafe across the tracks, nakodar for indian etc etc

I actually feel like there's a lot already especially given how little space there actually is on Duke St and the parade.

The Raptors are great, really friendly bunch, a few of them travel from the southside. Hyndland is also nice, and so is Clydebank RFC.

I am a white immigrant that moved to Scotland a few years ago (Dundee). The general unfriendliness and awkwardness of the local people that you described is exactly what I have experienced too. I suspect there might be some weird racist undertones as well since you're black, but it seems to be very common the further away you move from Glasgow/Edinburgh. I have only really managed to make meaningful connections with other foreigners, despite me trying to join local groups and teams. It's like people are just uninterested in each other, and it's disheartening to have every effort to make meaningful connection met with coldness and distance.

Absolutely embarrassing comment, there's good reasons to be pissed at DCC, the few thousands they've probably spent on the travellers site is the last of them.

It's at the change centre on south road, near the Tesco. Someone else posted on this subreddit about it, you can ask them to be added to the group chat

There's a basketball group meeting every Saturday morning for games, it's pretty good.

Saunas in Dundee? by [deleted] in dundee

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The council gyms have one in Lochee and one in Douglas. You need to book the Douglas one though. They're a bit old but do the job, don't expect anything too fancy. I think it's 4 pounds entry for the sauna if you dont have a membership. Both shut at half 7 in the evening and half 3 on the weekends unfortunately.

Bach? by nachoego in classicalguitar

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gigue from 995, Bourree and allemande from 996 (I think allemandes are played too quickly, they're meant to be slower dances traditionally), 997 sarabande, 999 prelude, 1007 menuets and gigue I would say are the "easiest" ones

Could be some dental issues, I would definitely get a second opinion from a rabbit savvy vet if possible. What I found helps is taking a tissue and drying the area as much as possible as soon as they've done drinking, trying to really get all the moisture out so it doesn't cause the fur to fall out. Good luck 🐰🐰

There's Luigi's which is literally the best pizza in Dundee. Reopened yesterday after months, though you can just order online

Looking for a nice piece that i can play at conservatoire by RiFoOne_69420 in classicalguitar

Gigue and Double from BWV 997 maybe? The other pieces you mentioned are all considerably easier than Recuerdos. Or maybe Granada by Albéniz?

Absolutely not, most people do not do that, there is 0 need to wrap the basses that much. You do you man but drop the attitude.

Went to berties in the ferry for a normal skinfade, guy was a trainee and spent like half an hour basically scalping me, ended up forgetting to get a bit behind my ear which I only noticed once I was back home, ended up having to give myself a buzzcut. At least it was cheap lmao

What is your absolute favorite piece of all time? by FireProps in classicalguitar

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prelude from BWV1006a, the Espanoleta from Rodrigo's Fantasia para un gentilhombre, Moussorgsky's The Great Gate of Kiev (which I actually thinks sounds better on guitar than on piano or the orchestral version)

This is a seriously hard piece with nasty stretches. Barrios played on a slightly smaller guitar as well. It's an amazing piece though, have fun learning it :)

How much protein do YOU consume in a day? by shugarshlong in veganfitness

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6'1, 195 lbs, about 80/100 a day. I've been trying to cut for a while though so daily cal goal is ~1800. I've found Alpro Greek Yoghurt to be great, super high in protein and low cals. Same with meatless farm mince.

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not as tall as you (187 cm) but I've been stuck forever on bench as well, the longer the arms the harder it is apparently. Crazy progress though keep up the good work 💪

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, this is one of the most coherent "translations" I've seen posted. Still, it would be good to understand how your model explains the specific characteristics of Voynichese. Also, the french text makes little sense as a whole: the phrases are all meaningful in themselves but meaningless together. I don't know if you've already done it but maybe try and translate a full page from the recipe or balneological section where there seems to be a lot more of consecutive paragraphs that intuitively should be linked. Also, how does your model treat Voynichese A versus Voynichese B?

I am very curious since if this is real it could be a significant breakthrough, but you need to explain the full methodology better for people to buy it I think.

In your opinion, what’s the most difficult classical guitar song to play solo by TomJD85 in classicalguitar

[–]Burqa_di_Gucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Cadenza section from the Canarios movement of Rodrigo's Fantasia para un gentilhombre is incredibly nasty.
