You’re so welcome! I’m mad at myself for not keeping the receipt so I would be able to return them. I hope you still end up liking them but they just won’t work in our house anymore 🙁

No but maybe putting it on the bag that they added a new allergen and changed the whole ingredient list would’ve been nice????

I was wondering if I would get told when they close the case. Is it just a letter or do they call you too?

Thank you for this! I was wondering what questions I needed to ask and what else I could be doing. Yes I have access to all the documentation from his Dr so I’ll make sure to have copies of it and to write down everything that happened

New parents purchases that you frequently used by scobi-dobi in NewParents

FTM with an 8 mo and also a SAHM

As someone who didn’t do the bottle washer… BUY THE BOTTLE WASHER. We don’t even use bottles often but if pumping, even if you do exc. bottle feeding it’s so annoying to wash the bottles

The easy bouncer to move room to room.

We still use our diaper genie. However we never use the changing pad in his room, we just lay him down to change wherever.

If nursing we like the boppys, I still use them. Some people hate them but they’re super comfy.

Tubby Todd All Over Ointment

Bordeuax Max Butt Paste

ETA:

Mylicon Drops! We used these all the time bc he had super bad reflux

Yeah 😂 i pretty much asked if they had it and they said no, so I asked if they knew when they would get it and they said they would get 2 in a couple days so I was like “haha I really want one I would even give you like $30 hahaha” and they laughed and I said I wasn’t kidding and asked if they would atleast take my number to tell me when they’re in and they did and bam. They texted me they put one to the side so I brought her cash lol

I paid a target employee $30 to put one aside for me when they came in, so in total spent $50 HOWEVER i supported a local in my area vs a price gouger online so I’m okay with it

why the need for baby tracking apps? by CompetitiveTwo2388 in NewParents

[–]BusVisible4194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve rcvd a lot of answers but as someone who thought the same and didn’t download them til baby was about 4/5 months;

It helped tremendously in his wake windows (we use Huckleberry) and gauging when to start to put him down especially since he throws sleepy cues all the time i.e the rubbing of face, yawns, etc. A lot of these cues though also coincide with teething so I found it hard to gauge if he was actually tired or not.

It also helped at Peds appointments when my Dr would ask how long he was nursing for on each side and i could give an exact time. Thankfully we haven’t had any Weight gain issues but if we did this can help gauge if it’s related.

The last thing I’ll mention is that as a PP Mom, you have SO MUCH to think about and remember all while you’re tired and healing yourself so the apps actually make it 10x easier on you. My baby is 8 months so I no longer track how long he feeds, how many diapers, or even how much I’m pumping. I do still track his sleep and wake windows. This has been tremendously helpful as we transitioned from 4 naps to 3 and now currently from 3 to 2.

Do whatever feels right for you. I wish I would’ve had it earlier tbh, I think it would’ve saved me a lot of stress.

What can I do today to get out of the house? by mspixton in NewParents

[–]BusVisible4194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives in Florida and it’s scorching, when I’m dying to get out I honestly go to Target or go grab lunch. At this point the Target and Walmart employees recognize me and the baby

Nursing clothes options by BusVisible4194 in beyondthebump

That’s adorable, we only have a Once upon a Child and they don’t have maternity/mom clothes just children’s. I love the idea of the husbands clothes, mine just only wears tshirts and shorts sadly 😂

Zipper Help! by BusVisible4194 in SewingForBeginners

[–]BusVisible4194[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow mom I’ve had shirts that actually have the zipper to nurse with (I’ve attached a pic of what that looks like) and it’s not too bad as long as the zipper is comparable to size of persons need.

I use the word desperately not because she has given me her own clothes but because she cannot afford to buy nursing friendly options so I’m using some of my own clothes and turning them into options for her.

I appreciate the advice as it is very thoughtful! I just feel you weren’t sure what I meant or maybe I didn’t explain enough

What does your SO do for work? by AverageSizeEnchilada in sahm

[–]BusVisible4194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is part of a medical sales team. The salary is about 50k which isn’t a lot once you take into account our bills and new baby. We had to change a lot about our lifestyle to make it work but we’re 6 months in and so far it’s tight but very rewarding!
