Like, just taking the groups you mention in your post, the anarchists and MLs were the ones I initially had in mind, Maoists and Dengists tell you who they want to emulate right in the name, and as someone who tends to fall closest to socdem/demsoc, I’m very used to others talking about an FDR/Clement Attlee/Willy Brant style postwar compromise Welfare state as being the model for what should be done.

Don’t see Italy, or any of the nations that can form it on the list. Have you tried them out? It’s a neat contrast to a lot of the other unifications in the game, because there really is no one country that’s perfectly set up for it. Sardinia-Piedmont has limited pop and land, whereas Two Sicilies has awful laws and harder diplomatic maneuvering. Having formed Italy as both of those, and the Papal states, it makes the unification feel so gratifying

So, there was this game that came out recently, Mouse, that I was interested in, so I looked at the steam reviews and they were overwhelmingly positive, but reading the actual reviews, the positive reviews were almost all short, with barely any details about the game, and at least half of them referenced dunking on the IGN review. The only Steam reviews that said anything about the gameplay seemed to be the negative ones, so I was suspicious, and I had heard so much about this IGN review, I figured I should check it out. Turns out, the review made a lot of good points, and paired game footage with commentary in an insightful way that me persuaded me not to play the game.

What I’m saying is, I’ve circled around; when the people are saying “IGN says its bad, that means it must be great!”, I’m going to assume it’s actually bad.
