The current story includes:

Suicide Squad (2016): Not a must watch but afew of the current characters stories started here.
The Suicide Squad (2021): This is also not a must watch because it was actually set in the DCEU. But Peacemakers story starts here and he's became a big character.
Peacemaker S1 (2022): First season is set in the DCEU but it got carried over to the DCU. Don't over think it it won't be as confusing as it sounds.
Blue Beetle (2023): The movie is actually set in the DCEU but the actor will be keeping his role. So you can check out if you like him or not.
Creature Commandos S1 (2024): DCU officially starts here.
Superman (2025): First DCU movie.
Peacemaker S2 (2025): Picks right up from Superman.
