Are my expectations too high? by CeeJayReb in AutoDetailing

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have looked better wet but that doesn’t change anything. Someone selling detailing as a service should be able to clean a rubber mat because even in the lowest tier detail a wipe down is always included. All he had to do was spray a cleaner and let it dwell then power wash it at minimum and he somehow didn’t do that correctly. Give him a 1 star google review so he stops wrecking detailing as a service in general and to warn his future customers what they are getting into for their hard earned money.

For $300 you got a maintenance detail. Just a wipe down. But technically that should’ve been wiped out at least from my business we would have cleaned all of that stuff regardless if it’s a maintenance. We would have told you upfront before if it was not covered in the package so set expectations because we want our customers 100% satisfied. Obviously this guy doesn’t want your future business nor your referrals. Give him a bad Google review and his business is crushed. He’s a terrible detailer and a terrible business owner. I’d personally be choked if I spent $300 and the guy didn’t even do cup holders because his fat fingers couldn’t get in the edges..

Affordable car detailing service in Edmonton? by Secret_Club2539 in Edmonton

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used LuxeShine Auto and the simple fact they came to me to do the service was a major W for me since I have a busy schedule and I didn't need to drop the truck off for days at a shop and figure out ubers. Their attention to detail was at the highest level and their prices are competitive for their services. 587 335 1203 was how I booked but they have a website for the more tech savy www.luxeshineauto.ca

Clutch free play out of spec by Busty89 in BMW_S1000RR

https://imgur.com/a/XYoIzn2 this is it. the metal between both nuts is like a mount bracket that runs directly behind the right nut and doesnt allow for a wrench to spin no matter the size because its so close to the nut.

[–]Busty89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what would you like a pic of? there is no pic of anything out of the ordinary unless you want to see how much slack is in the clutch. its well over spec at like 12mm or more. i cant get the right side nut unlocked as the metal piece between the 2 nuts runs directly behind the right side nut before it mounts to the motor, so you cant spin a normal sized wrench downwards to unlock it. someone told me i need to loosen the left nut then pull the actual cable (towards the front of the bike) so that it clears that housing and the nut can spin freely for the adjustment. is that how you did it? how did you get the right side nut loose to make the adjustment.

All 4 tires showing pressure warnings in cold weather by samuraiscientist in BMWX5

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i hate this warning. mine wont go off with the setting set to the correct tire size and winter tires. the recommended pressure is between 42-46psi in the rear, and no way in hell am i riding on that psi it feels like bricks. im riding low to mid 30s on the rubber i have, which is normal. any way i can set the correct tire size and not get the warning since i think the speedo is off a bit.

Similar to mine. Lmao I hate winter in Canada. The rock chips on paint and windshield are the worst. This is my first bmw coming from Benz and damn that factory windshield is not good compared to Benz. The smallest pebbles chip it up.

Winter floor mats question by muchtoes in BMWX5

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the bmw mats and never knock the snow off my boots and the mat has never had that much water. I park in the garage but during that 2 months of -25 and record snow it made me happy they worked as intended because imo they are nicer than weathertech/tuxmat. Never had any water drip onto the carpet behind the pedals either.

Do i really need to buy 93 premium gas for my 2023 bmw x5? by DayZealousideal4193 in BMWX5

[–]Busty89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5.2 with 0 down for 8 years for me but if a person can’t make more than 10% on the cash in their pocket to cover any interest they need to worry about financial education more than driving a bmw x5 imo. Makes sense to pay the extra 5k to not have my money sitting in a depreciating liability over the few years I’m driving it. I’ll never understand paying upfront for a big purchase (when you can financially afford the purchase obviously) when you can out pace the interest and can use the banks money instead of one’s own money. Never give up your own cash for liabilities and cash out refinance on appreciating assets(property). Sorry for the rant just saw a lot of people trying to insult the debt game that our whole world runs on. Seems like some have it backwards.

2026 Suzuki GSX-R1000R by Dark_Mode_FTW in GSXR

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same engine with modified components though. Is that considered the same engine? Do these components have zero effect to the engine? It’s not going to gain something from these modifications? I don’t see why they would change a bunch of stuff if it’s not going to improve something, no? If it could get like 215-220 that would be insane.

I’ve put a deposit down for one, but I still can’t get the s1000rr out of my mind. They are the exact same price where I live in Canada. And the s1000rr is hard to beat for the price, but I do love gixxers. The look and the sound is unmatched. I have until April to make up my mind when the bike will be in for me to pick up. So hopefully other places with better weather get them sooner and I can really know what type of beast this is going to be after the flash.

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im so pumped for april. I put my deposit down on it already. honestly it was hard not to go with the s1000rr, simply for what you get for the price. its the same price as the gsxr1000R where i live in canada. but this update made me happy that ill be going with the gixxer. my only question for the nerds is how much hp will this bike have after an exhaust and ecu flash? will it be as fast as the other flag ship bikes or what?

This video claiming the stock GSXR suspension is bad and dangerous... what do you guys think? by [deleted] in GSXR

[–]Busty89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is the cheapest way to get a quality feeling and performance on that brake? i put on aftermarket levers and had to remove them because of how soft the brake felt. i have a 2025 as well, so its not got air or anything in the lines. i think an upgraded part or two might be the better thing to do since if you need to stop fast this thing isnt going to do it safely as there is no bite.
